Role Description (Primary)

This is a full-time role for a Deputy Construction Department Manager. The Deputy Department Manager will work closely with the Construction Department Manager, Engineering Manager and other engineering disciplines to strengthen the construction team and participate in management reviews and other administrative activities as well as project specific activities such as construction planning and cost estimation, proposal preparation, and manhour planning in the bidding and tendering phase. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Operations Manager in all road and airfield runway construction projects including resurfacing operations-related matters, manpower, equipment, safety, and site surveys

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Responsible for monthly closing activities for local accounts including preparing, reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of journal entries and timely preparation of the financial reports;
• Review of accounts prepared by overseas appointed agency if any;
• Review and handle GST submission;
• Liaise with external auditor for statutory audit;
• Prepare audit schedules and handling audit issues (if any);
