The Courage Chapter has been engaged to conduct for a search for a Fundraising and Events Manager/Senior Manager for our client, a Non-Governmental Organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Fundraising and Public Relations Manager/Senior Manager is a key contributor in achieving the annual fundraising target that enables the organisation’s overall goals to be met. The role helps to ensure that the organisation has a steady stream of revenue

generation initiatives including but not limited to fundraising events, online campaigns and grant writing. This role is expected to develop and implement fundraising strategies that are aligned to the organisation’s goals and objectives, working closely with the Executive Director to ensure that existing and new programmes are funded properly. RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising & Donor Management

● Expand and grow the donor base including foundations, corporate donors, government grants and individual donors through leads generation, grant writing, relationship building and engagement in support of fundraising strategy defined in the year

● Pipeline management and timely and accurate updates of donors’ giving records in Salesforce system and/or any other systems as required

Public Relations and Events Management

● Strengthen donor relationship management by planning appreciation gestures including corporate mixers, appreciation luncheons, any event management and relationship building efforts with donors

● Represent organisation as a spokesperson at corporate, networking and fundraising events, social media and media engagements to advance company’s mission

● Engage corporates in poverty sensitization workshops and achieve the targeted number of paid engagements in the year

● Plan and execute annual fundraising and public events including International Women’s Day, Mother’s Day Carnival, Gala and Golf Fundraiser

General/Management

● Build capabilities in fundraising, donor and event management of the Fundraising team

● Highlight new or changing operational needs that require manpower, budgetary and strategic provisions to Head of Fundraising and Public Relations

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing design projects in the Retail/Corporate industry. Junior candidates with demonstrably strong skills and relevant experience in design management may be considered.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex design projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills in both written and verbal formats.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining deadlines.
• Proficiency in design visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) systems a plus.
• Experience with design procurement and tendering processes.
• Keen understanding of design constructability, able to identify potential constructability issues early in the design process and collaborate with designers to find solutions. Experience working with contractors and understanding how design decisions impact buildability and cost.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to the industry. Ability to oversee construction activities, identify potential quality issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• PMP certification and/or LEED accreditation highly preferred. Demonstrates commitment to professional development and best practices in project management and sustainability.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ensure efficient and effective management of design activities on tenders and projects to ensure that all design requirements of the contract are fulfilled
2. Ensure compliance with legal and other requirements, including standards and codes of practice, relating to the design
3. To oversee and supervise existing design team
4. Ensure design process and submissions comply with statutory regulations and requirements
5. Responsible to provide a fully functional structural system, analysis and calculations to fulfil adequate structural integrity and accuracy of the design
6. Must be able to lead, manage and check all kinds of design drawings by members
7. Coordination with relevant departments during the Design stage
8. Ensure that all technical/detailed drawings are compliant with the relevant codes and/or regulatory requirements
9. Ensure that all drawings must be done with constructability to site requirements, be practical, easy to understand, able to meet clients expectations and good profitability for the Company
10. To provide evaluation/findings and project results to HQ Tokyo in Japan on a frequent basis

Requirements:

1. Degree/Masters in Architecture/Engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum 12 years of working experience in the related field
3. Proficient in Software such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
4. Able to lead a team
5. Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is necessary as the incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate with counterparts in Japan, Tokyo Head Office such as monthly progress reports
6. Ability to prioritize tasks well and able to work independently
7. Required to be resourceful, pay attention to details and has good communication skills
