Technical Responsibilities

• Ensures all modelling and draughting activities are completed within allocated schedule and budgeted hours. Efficiently and effectively manages multiple tasks independently and in a multi-disciplinary team. Communicates with Senior Piping Designers daily and seeks guidance to prevent undue delay and ensure success of the project.
• Utilises Autodesk Plant 3D and AutoCAD computer aided design (CAD) software. Performs 3D modelling activities and maintains clash free models. Prepares 2D CAD drawings complete with Bill of Material (BOM) as directed. Adheres to International Codes of Practice and industry standards.
• Review of P&ID, project documents and vendor drawings or documents
• Be responsible for technical correctness of own and others Designers’ deliverables. Ensures output is completed on time, on budget, and exceeding quality standards
• Assists in design reviews and participate in other discipline reviews as appropriate. Ensures incorporation of all Piping-related review comments. Detailed review of drawings for scope and presentation, including checking of own and others’ work for technical accuracy and adherence to company standards
• Adheres to and complies with design procedures and standards and provides constructive feedback for continuous improvement. Identifies potential applications for new processes and technologies to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Ensures effective communication and interface between all disciplines for design and development.
• Participates in internal audits and investigations as required. Travels to and visits client offices to meet with technical representatives and performs site survey with Senior Designers, if required.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships internally. Engages with inter-discipline community and promotes networking and knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in piping layout design
• Familiarity of relevant codes and standards for Oil and Gas Industry
• Autodesk Plant 3D or CadWorx & Navisworks familiarity
• Excellent technical communication (oral and written) skills with proven ability to present technical issues to design teams and project engineering teams
• Site or fabrication experience is an added advantage
• Self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects
• Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels

Technical Responsibilities

• Prepare piping isometrics, plan and section drawings for construction and as-built stages
• Update and backdraft drawings as per internal/client comments
• Assists on other tasks such as preparation of documents, drawings and computer-aided design (CAD) work

Job Requirements

• Higher Nitec in Marine & Offshore Technology or Offshore & Marine Engineering Design or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Built Environment or Marine & Offshore Technology). Fresh graduates or ORD personnel are also welcomed to apply.

Job Description

This is a client facing / delivery role, working on cloud operations in the delivery team. You will execute daily cloud operations as well as cloud implementations in technical customer engagements including basic operations and administration, specific implementation projects and/or pilots in Cloud.

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery roles and success in implementation discussions, hands-on experience with good client handling skills and good team player within the team.
