UWCSEA East is excited to announce an opportunity for a Middle School Head of Activities for the academic year 2025/2026.

This is a one-year post. Eligible candidates must hold a qualification to teach Physical Education (PE). The position is currently part-time with the possibility of increasing to full-time.

The Head of Middle School Activities is responsible for the design, delivery, and monitoring of the Middle School activities programme and related resources. This leadership role supports the wider UWCSEA holistic learning programme, diverse student learning needs and interests, and has clear pathways throughout Middle School activities. The post holder is responsible for planning and delivering a developmentally appropriate activities programme that supports young adolescent learning in a full range of activity categories. In addition, the Head of Middle School Activities will develop, coordinate and implement a community programme, which is accessible to all Middle School students.

The Head of MS Activities works closely with the High School and Junior School Heads of Activities, along with the Director of Activities and Community Engagement to design and implement the K-12 activity programme. Other key working relationships include the Middle School Leadership Team (MLT), the Service and Sustainable Development Team, Head of MS Service, Providers, Coaches, and HOGs.
