• Seasons food according to recipes or company needs
• Orders ingredients and spices as needed
• Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven , grill, or stand mixer
• Portions, arranges , and garnishes food
• Assists other cooks during the food assembly process
• Keeps records and accounts of food purchases
• Orders new menu items for specials or cheap deals
• Butchers and cook animal meat based on the restaurant atmosphere
• Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
• Stays open until the last customer leaves
• Cleans up after business hours
• Communicates with owner about how to improve meal service

This position is responsible for delivering quality food and maintaining kitchen standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in food preparation

• Verify that prepared food meets requirements

• Adhere to safety procedures

• Handle equipment, appliances, supplies, and tools

• Prepare and cook customer’s food order

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen

• Understanding and complying with the mandatory hygiene standards and requirements

• Assist in dishwashing duties

• Perform any other duties assigned by Chef

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant experience will be an advantage

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Physically and mentally fit and able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment

• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Responsible for smooth operations at the restaurant
• Take ownership and run day to day operation of the restaurant independently.
• Constantly find ways to improvise new and existing menu items
• Follow SOPs to ensure food are served correctly.
• Train, develop and motivate subordinates to meet and exceed established food preparation standards on a consistent basis
