• Prepare meals that meet the proper nutritional requirement in accordance with Ilham Child Care menus and food policies: -

• Take note of those children who have special dietary requirements or allergies and prepare suitable alternatives.
• Should there be any deviations in the menu, please record it down in the Menu Deviation book.
• To ensure that food is stored and handled properly for both Centres.
• To ensure expiry dates are checked on a weekly basis and removed immediately if found expired.
• To ensure all kitchen equipment / utensils should be sanitized before and after usage.
• To ensure all kitchen equipment / utensils are all labelled and placed in the right place.
• To ensure keeping the kitchen area clean at all times.
• To ensure all serving trolleys and containers are cleaned on a regular basis.
• To ensure adequate cleaning supplies in the kitchen.
• To keep logs to track your cleaning duties.
• To check the balance of groceries that is needed and update the order form given by the Centre Admin.
• To ensure that the Groceries are purchased as per the allocated budget given by the Management.
• To check the other centres Groceries Purchase Form before sending it to the Director for approval.
• To check the groceries condition when it reaches the Centre. Ensure that all items are in good condition and ensure that all groceries ordered have arrived. If not, report to the Centre Support Officer.
• To ensure that the kitchen gate is locked all the time.
• To report any workplace accidents / hazards to your Principal or Management.
• To report to the Principal and Centre Admin if there is any fault in any of the kitchen appliances.
• To take over the cleaner's duties when the cleaner is absent.

Senior Cook Job description

The Senior cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, and following food health and safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff and deliver food in a fast-paced environment. Work may include operating a grill, oven, or fryer. Previous experience in a team environment and various cooking methods preferred.

That cook need to play as multitasking role he must be ready to washing vessels and cleaning kitchen environment

Duties and Responsibilities

• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations

• Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.

• Preparing deep fryer, utensils, and grill for shift

• Roti prate flour mixing

• Ready to cook Goring items (nasi,ikanpils,mee,kwithya,noodles)

• preparation of south indian & north indian curies

• Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system

• Cooking order according to food health and safety standards

• Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes

• Handling multiple food orders at one time

• Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive

• Dressing order for presentation

• Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides

• Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner

• Storing all food properly

• Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils

• Reordering stock and food supplies

• Monitoring other cooks and team members

• Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
