Responsibilities:
Branding:
- Work closely with the General Manager to support the development of the corporate brand strategy, direction, and implementation plan.
- Develop, oversee, and regularly update the brand communication guidelines and workflows in collaboration with the General Manager.
- Lead the execution of the brand communication plan, coordinating with relevant stakeholders across divisions, entities, and countries in the Asia and Oceania region.
- Create, manage, and continuously improve regional branded materials, as well as global assets provided by the GHQ CC Division (Tokyo Headquarters).
External communication: Enhance the organization brand's positive reputation in the public eye:
- Create an annual communication plan aligned with the brand strategy and direction.
- Lead the execution of the communication plan in partnership with key stakeholders across divisions, entities, and local offices in the Asia and Oceania region.
- Research, recommend, and implement innovative communication approaches, including enhancing the company website, developing regional social media strategies, and leveraging other effective communication channels as required.
Internal Communication: Enhance employee engagement and workplace experience:
- Create and implement an internal communication plan, including events, to promote transparency in information and knowledge sharing. This initiative will help employees gain a deeper understanding of organization's brand values, business operations, diverse talents, and future opportunities across both local and international entities in the Asia and Oceania region.
Crisis Communication:
- Familiarize yourself with and follow crisis procedures as outlined and directed by GHQ.
- Offer support to GHQ as required.
- Assist in delivering crisis communication guidance and training to employees in the region.
Manage relevant outsources and partners:
- Oversee and manage outsourced vendors and partners to implement communication plans, ensuring timely execution and adherence to budget.
Team management and development:
- Work closely with the General Manager to develop and manage the Corporate Branding and Strategy team, including overseeing resources, budgeting, and other related functions.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree or diploma in communication, branding, marketing, or a relevant field.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the shipping industry.
- Communication Planning: Ability to lead development communication planning.
- Presentation Skills: Competence in delivering presentations.
- Creativity and Project Management: Demonstrated creativity and strong project management skills.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at engaging with various stakeholders across divisions, countries, and entities.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Adaptability: Flexibility, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Digital Communication: Deep understanding and extensive experience in developing and managing corporate websites, social media (SNS), and other digital communication practices.
