Summary

We are seeking to fill the role of General Manager, Corporate Finance and Special Projects. The ideal candidate is a highly strategic and results-oriented leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's corporate finance functions and leading high-impact special projects. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, and exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Corporate Finance: Lead all aspects of corporate finance activities, including:
• Capital Markets: Manage equity and debt financings, including IPOs, M&A transactions, and other capital market transactions.
• Investor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders.
• Treasury Management: Oversee cash management, liquidity, and risk management activities.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts, and conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Special Projects: Lead and manage high-impact special projects, including:
• Strategic Acquisitions & Divestitures: Conduct due diligence, negotiate terms, and oversee the integration or divestiture of businesses.
• Business Development: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
• Cost Reduction Initiatives: Lead and implement cost-saving initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or a related field.
• Proven track record of success in leading and executing complex financial transactions, including M&A, IPOs, and debt financings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make sound business decisions.

Job Description

• Work closely with Division leaders to monitor and control their operating performance
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts; and ensuring deadlines are met
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing
• Responsible of full set account
• Intercompany and related company settlements, review all reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Preparation of journal and month end schedules
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
• Prepare other ad-hoc financial management reports as required by the Management
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures
• Assist in treasury matters, including providing monthly financial and cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient cash requirement

• Handling full spectrum of corporate secretarial duties for our clients which includes but not limited to company incorporations, striking off of companies, preparations of directors' and shareholders resolutions
• Ensuring compliance in accordance with relevant statutory requirements, maintenance of statutory registers and submission of statutory returns

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Secretary, Degree Holder or above
• At least 3 - 5 years working experience in corporate secretarial work
• Conversant with the Companies Act & familiar with the regulatory and reporting requirements
• Good knowledge of process and electronic filing requirements of ACRA
• Proficiency working attitude, pro-active, good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Preparation of XBRL

You provide critical insights to continuous improvement of operational efficiency by analysing current workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, implementing process improvements that streamline tasks, reduce redundancies, and enhance the speed and accuracy of financial operations.

You will assess project risks through data analytics to support informed decision-making.You will also collaborate with various departments for requirement gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring that the deployed systems meet diverse user requirements for seamless integration.

Additionally, you will provide secretariat support and manage resource requirements for various workgroups to facilitate effective collaboration and project execution.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or degree holder (major in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent)
• Minimum 6 years of related working experience
• Membership of a professional body, e.g., ISCA or ACCA is advantageous
• Team player with a high level of integrity, responsibility, and trustworthiness
• Adept at handling complex, ambiguous, and challenging situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage various stakeholders in a fluid environment and a growing organisation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Tableau, Power BI
