Partnerships:

Responsible for creating new accounts and new partnerships for the company and growing existing ones via networking, business development and sales. Representing and being an ambassador for the company in the field and via direct outreach:

(3) Strategising and formulating the business development and sales processes to improve and refine how Motion performs in identifying opportunities and bringing them through the sales funnel

• Transforming the business development processes and posture of the Company from a word of mouth, farming based organisation to have well established and efficient sales outreach and new business capture mechanisms and systems
• Leveraging a deep understanding of the Company’s business pillars to position and recommend the best matched services and project types to prospective clients
• Being a key part of events produced by Motion to foster connections with high value guests, as client liaison for account servicing and business development farming purposes
• Working with, onboarding and managing Business Development Manager(s), Sales Executive(s) and other new hires that may be team designed into the Prospecting pillar

Positioning:

Leading the company’s marketing efforts via brand amplification, online visibility and direct outreach. Curating and embodying the voice and tone of Motion in all external facing content and communications

(1) Developing and implementing the Company’s marketing strategy

• Analysing and gaining insights from key marketing performance metrics and data to provide actionable plans to implement improved marketing and visibility, resulting in a monthly report to the leadership team
• Leading, project managing and strategising the brand’s marketing efforts across owned media such as social media, EDMs, in-house events, brochures and other marketing collaterals. This may include but is not limited to copy and narrative reflective of Motion’s brand, imagery curation in line with the brand aesthetic in co-ordination with the designers and Art Director, individual long form and short videos as well as reels
• Via one Instagram post per week, one LinkedIn post per week, one Medium blog post per month, one Instagram reel per two weeks
• Planning and project managing the content calendars for social media including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Instagram, and any other social media channels the company may decide to pursue marketing on in future

(2) Enhancing brand visibility for Motion

• Conceptualising, overseeing, copywriting and amplifying Leadership on LinkedIn for the brand with a target of 1-2 CEO voice posts per month
• Research, engagement, communication with and submission of case studies to awards companies to enhance Motion’s brand visibility via potential award winning work
• Aiming for at least one bronze award per year, depending on number of qualifying projects and whether clients are amenable

(3) Leading enhancement of the quality and sales potential of the brand’s partnership assets

• Overhauling and revitalising Motion’s portfolio of case studies in line with the brand’s business priorities and target clientele, including overall strategy, copy rewriting, imagery curation in co-ordination with project managers, designers and the Art Director, curation of portfolio decks under Motion’s business pillars and client types and individual portfolio deck creation on request by the company leadership
• Leading and project managing the creation of new case studies for the company’s completed projects

(4) Ownership of and updates for the company website and other online platforms including, but not limited to, staff bios, company business copy, approved case studies, contact form, press and media, editorial features the company has had, careers page, and contact incentives such as downloadables

• Manage Google Analytics to inform website and SEO usage as well as content on our websites, to be included in the monthly leadership report
• Co-ordinate with website hosting companies for the management and update of the Motion website
• Establishing and running the Motion blog; writing articles of interest to Motion’s audience on topics including but not limited to business, the senses and the company’s projects on a monthly basis
• Topics across three key pillars; sensorial experiences, the experience of Motion products and behind the scenes, business thought leadership

(5) Developing the company’s physical space (Ann Siang Road office “House of Motion”) for branding and sales benefits to the company in partnership with relevant stakeholder (i.e. CEO and Designer)

• Conceptualise, project manage and lead the positioning of the company’s physical space for marketing, networking, business development, thought leadership and brand amplification benefits to Motion, through events, online visibility and posts about the office space
• Identifying, inviting, working with and managing speakers for events at the House of Motion
• Moderating panels and fireside chats organised at the House of Motion
• Co-ordinating with external partners to formalise sensorial offerings for Motion such as scents, giveaways and other promotional materials

(6) Co-ordinating with PR managers and firms to plan the company’s earned media strategy

• Pitching the company for inclusion in earned media such as but not limited to magazines, websites and other platforms focused on design, lifestyle, art, creative, events, business, finance and entrepreneurship

(7) Working with, onboarding and managing Communications Associate(s), Social Media Executive(s) and other new hires that may be team designed into the Positioning pillar

Customer Solutions and Innovation (CSI) is a DHL's cross divisional commercial and innovation unit. We are responsible for managing DHL's largest and most strategically important customers. In a very competitive market, CSI work with our Business Units colleagues and provide value beyond what the customers expect, building stronger ties with Customer key decision makers. We focus on understanding our customer business and industry challenges and applying proven DHL solutions.

In DHL Innovation Center, we use the topic of innovation to build partnerships with our customers. We help them discover possibilities, inspire them to look for opportunities to advance their supply chain functions, connect them to subject matter experts and create business cases that are applicable to them.

We are looking for a Senior Innovation Engagement Manager to/with…

a. Workshop facilitation:

- Drive the innovation-focused customer engagement program through the set-up and coordination of Customer Innovation Workshops

b. Customer experience:

- Consult account managers to plan their customer meetings and tailor guided visits or innovation workshops on relevant business topics in an engaging way using state-of-the-art creative methodologies

- Work with sales leads to understand and define customer requirements and pain points, develop customer engagement strategies and deliver high-quality innovation workshops

c. Customer engagement:

- Deliver customized guided visits through the Innovation Center, involving subject matter experts

- Transform the Innovation Center into an inspiring demo and showcase environment that positions DHL as the Innovation leader in the Logistics industry underscoring the company's vision/strategy for the future and its continuous investment in the development of best-in-class logistics solutions and services today and tomorrow

d. Innovation mindset:

- strong interest in helping to drive innovation and work with global colleagues on new workshop and engagement formats – helping to shape the future of the four Innovation centers around the world

- Adapt and regularly update the content demo showcase portfolio creating a pipeline of new demo showcases for the Innovation Center, in close alignment and cooperation with Trend research, Business units, Industry sectors experts as well as corporate functions

e. Project management:

- coordinate alignment across business unit’s and with other stakeholders to ensure the smooth planning and execution of customer engagements.

f. Leadership:

- Lead, mentor and manage the team of innovation engagement managers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

- Cultivate a high-performance culture, emphasizing on collaboration, optimization and continuous improvement

Principal Accountabilities

- Strategic Pre-Sales Enablement: Customer Innovation Workshops, Tours, Deepdives

- Coordinate and conduct Customer Innovation Workshops unlocking sales & business growth opportunities and strengthening customer relationships

- Develop a portfolio of Customer Innovation Workshops by permanently assessing business priorities and customer needs, aiming at sharing best practices, developing new value and/or exploring logistics trends

- Prepare and successfully deliver fully customized Customer Innovation Workshops, including understanding of customer needs, topic selection, customization of workshop agenda including a choice of best-suited creative modules and assignment of expert speakers

- Issue a detailed Customer Innovation Workshop summary highlighting joint opportunities and action items identified and ensure structured follow-up including a tracking in close alignment with the responsible account manager

- Build a network of internal DHL subject-matter experts

- Stay-up to date regarding innovation management methodologies/tools in order to permanently improve and extend the portfolio of customer innovation workshops

- Consult requestors on different formats/options and execute workshops as well as guided visits through the Innovation Center Demo & Content Management

- Translate the content framework and storyline into engaging and state-of-the art demo showcases

- Permanently assess the Innovation Center content framework and storyline, working in close alignment with CSI, BU, trend research and corporate function

- Continuously update and improve a modular content framework and storyline which allows customization to the needs of the customer/business including latest insights, best practices, customer testimonials etc.

- Manage the centralized content/demo & showcase management system on a day-to-day basis and support the regional implementation of the content/demo & showcase management system within the Innovation Center Satellites ensuring worldwide content/story consistency, localization & customization and virtualization

- Continuously share best practices with other regional Innovation centers

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

- 8-10 years professional experience in sales or marketing role; a master degree in Sales, Marketing or Communications is a plus

- Strong customer focus and proven experience in delivering customer workshops

- Insight in Innovation methodologies (Creative problem solving, Design thinking, Agile development)

- High self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a structured way

- Strong presentation and communication skills

- Fluent in English.

- International exposure and cultural sensitivity

- Team leader and team player

- Sound logistics understanding or exposure to manufacturing operations an advantage

- Strategic and entrepreneurial way of thinking

- Very good interpersonal, communicational and problem solving skills

• Strong interpersonal relationship skills to be able to work individually as well as to collaborate with stakeholders to meet the needs of these clients
