POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies to ensure compliance with international and local tax regulations while optimizing the organization’s tax efficiency. Key areas of focus include transfer pricing, where the incumbent will design policies, conduct analyses, prepare documentation, and ensure adherence to evolving regulations, and tax planning, where they will identify opportunities to minimize liabilities, advise on tax implications of corporate strategies, and support business initiatives. The Senior Manager - Commercial & Estimation will be responsible for producing various classes of cost estimates for rig repair and refurbishment projects. They will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates are comprehensive and adhere to project requirements.

Details/duties:

• Attend project meetings to obtain thorough understanding of Scope of Work and cost estimate requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for Jack Up drilling rig projects including engineering, procurement, fabrication, site manhours (application of agreed norms) and third-party vendors.
• Write basis of estimate / supporting estimate notes / drawings detailing qualifications, assumptions & exclusions.
• Through understanding on Shipyard Structural, Piping and Electrical cost estimations.
• Support reviews and assurance of cost estimates.
• Maintain accurate records within the Estimating Register.
• Understanding of Cost and Planning Interfaces.
• Interrogate cost, planning and procurement information and reports with supporting data.
• Prepare revisions to cost estimates in a controlled manner.
• Undertake the formal filing of cost estimates, the collection of historical data and the continuous update of estimating databases, in a controlled manner.
• Coordinate development and issue of project change orders.
• Manage and compile Variation order related costing / T&M Manpower monitoring and compilation followed by billing to clients.
• Collaborate with project managers, Site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates align with project scope and timeline.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input.
• Be able to work in a fast pace, dynamic work environment with multiple priorities.

Qualifications/Experience required:

• At least 10 years of experience in a similar position preferably in Shipyard.

• Ensure that projects are executed based on the project plan to meet identified business needs and outcome, within agreed parameters of cost, duration and quality.
• Lead the development of the business case as well as the budget for the digital systems.
• Identify potential project risks and the implications to the organization and to recommend mitigating measures so as to manage the risks.
• Effectively engage and manage the vendors to deliver digital solutions and services.
• Understand the IT management policy, quality management policy and security guidelines to ensure the development processes, procedures and systems are designed to comply with these policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Min. Degree in IT related fields.
• Min. 5 years of relevant working experience in Project Management, full SDLC implementation in agile.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• PMP certification.
• Prior experience managing the delivery of government projects and knowledge of IM8.
