We are International Reinsurance Brokers established for more than four decades with a worldwide clientele base. As a reinsurance specialist, the company works on behalf of insurance companies to facilitate the placement of Treaty and Facultative reinsurance programs.
The company is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and has subsidiary companies in Jakarta and Colombo.
We are seeking a full-time candidate to assist in the Finance & Administrative Department. Candidates with related qualifications & working experience are most essential.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Consolidation of Group Accounts & review of subsidiary accounts
- Handle full set of company’s account and monthly financial reports
- Cash-flow management of the company’s account & clients’ accounts (IBPA)
- Prepare periodic budget & forecast analysis & monthly management reports
- Trade debtors and creditors control and general ledger reconciliation
- Revaluation of trade debtors and creditors and monitoring monthly Ageing reports
- Prepare MAS statutory returns & regulatory compliance and liaise with MAS officials
- Conversant with IFRS standards & Insurance Intermediaries Act
- Handle corporate taxation matters & attend IRAS queries & liaison with tax agents
- Reconciliation of monthly group office accounts & intercompany balances
- Prepare GST returns and ensure timely submission to IRAS
- Review of staff expense claims, operating expenses & online payment instructions
- Liaison with external auditors, corporate secretary, and other government officials
- Assist in Corporate Secretarial duties, HRM & general office administration
- Monitor contracts administration and renewals including TOBA, KYC/CDD
- Review & administration of office general insurance needs, including claims/renewal
- Assist in IT-related work, co-ordination & follow-up with external vendor(s)
Requirements:
- ACCA / Degree in Accountancy or Finance from respectable Universities
- Must be conversant in the Companies Act, Insurance Act, PDPA, local taxation
- Mature, responsible & able to work independently, and can work under pressure
- Positive attitude, strong self-motivation, pro-active and initiative to learn
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal & people skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Pivot Table/PowerPoint/Words
