Purpose of Job
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and strategic financial operations of the company. The role involves leading the finance team in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and audit and tax compliance. This position will also be involved in business planning, financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and internal controls. The Senior Finance Manager will provide key insights to senior management and contribute to the organization’s strategic goals and decision-making process.
Job Duties
· Reporting & Management: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, management reports, and group consolidations. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (IFRS, Singapore FRS) and statutory reporting requirements.
· Cash Flow & Budgeting: Lead cash flow management, budgeting, and financial forecasting processes to ensure financial resources are utilized effectively. Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
· Strategic Business Planning & Analysis:Partner with senior leadership to drive business planning and decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis and recommendations.
· Corporate Finance & Treasury: Lead the treasury function, manage working capital, and optimize cash flow strategies. Oversee financial risks and ensure sound corporate finance strategies.
· Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Conduct due diligence and financial evaluations for potential mergers, acquisitions, and business expansions.
· Internal Controls & Compliance:Implement and monitor robust internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. Ensure accurate financial reporting and transparency.
· Team Leadership & Development:Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering collaboration, skill development, and high-performance culture. Ensure effective communication and alignment within the department.
· Ad-Hoc Duties: Take on additional duties as assigned by senior management, contributing to broader business strategies and goals.
Experience:
· Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a senior finance or leadership role.
· Extensive experience in Group Consolidation and overseeing financial reporting for regional or international subsidiaries.
· Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and strategic financial analysis to support business decisions.
· Hands-on experience in corporate finance, treasury management, and cash flow optimization.
· Strong background in conducting due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
· Demonstrated ability to manage and oversee the financial operations of local and international subsidiaries.
· Strong experience in implementing internal controls and ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
· Experience in coordinating audits and working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
· Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA (Chartered Accountant), and/or CPA is essential.
· Additional certifications such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) will be an advantage.
Other Requirements:
· Proficient in ERP systemssuch as SAP, Oracle, or Business Central (BC).
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros).
· In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Singapore FRS for financial reporting.
· Strong understanding of taxation and regulatory requirements for both local and international operations.
· Fluent in English and Chinese, with excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders in both languages.
