Key Responsibilities:

About the job

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure your allocated client base is managed to the highest professional standard, encompassing the internal CTM standards implemented for your role.
• Undertake agreed client reporting to ensure clients are advised of possible future savings in their travel, and travel analysis on purchasing and travelling behaviors are proactively undertaken.
• Represent CTM via meetings, telephone calls or external promotional events and ensure all relevant preparation for client contact is prepared well in advance.
• If client base requires, support clients with our internal online travel booking tool, including technical support questions and analysis.
• Support the entire CVM team in CTM on a proactive basis, to ensure our service to clients remains seamless regardless of team absences, planned or unplanned.
• Provide recommendations to clients on strategic direction of travel program in respect to the CTM Value Proposition. Maintain accountable control on the program with an aim to build relationships and strengthen loyalty with corporate clients.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans, detailing objectives, strategies, dependencies and measurable targets. Undertake regular review of client travel program and its performance.
• Provide program projections based on trends, needs and that of the travel industry including suppliers, technology and peer groups.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of account management/ servicing experience which at least 2 years within travel or relevant industry
• Thorough knowledge of business travel management & travel industry technology is preferred
• Extensive Client/ Account Relationship Management experience
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills
• High level negotiator
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, result oriented and able to work under pressure

Job Description & Requirements

Purpose of the job

To ensure excellence in delivery of financial accounts, including financial statements, management accounts, and annual returns, by overseeing the local private clients’ accountants and coordinating with the Mauritius Private Clients accountants assisting with the preparation.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to quickly build upon accounting, tax and financial management experience, especially in the private clients’ space.

The candidate will form part of a vibrant Trust Services (Private Clients) team, that lends his/her accounting expertise to bring greater value to the private clients’ relationships.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the local Trust Services (Private Clients) team by taking ownership and responsibility over preparation and quality of the financial accounts within the team.

Managing a portfolio of clients accounts ensuring high quality service deliverables to clients, including but not limited to, review and preparation of the financial accounts where applicable.

Ensure excellence in delivery of all financial accounts of the local private clients team.

Coordinate, liaison and lead the accounting process with Group centralised accounting team (i.e. Mauritius) where applicable, towards ensuring excellence in delivery of accounts.

Review and prepare full or partial sets of accounts (monthly, quarterly and yearly) for the portfolio of clients.

Ensure accurate recording of accounting transactions and analyse financial information, to prepare meaningful management accounts and supporting schedule

Prepare tax computation and assist with tax compliance matters.

Ensure payments are processed in compliance with the client’s policies and statutory requirements.

Review and prepare financial statements under SFRS and other international GAAP where applicable

Coordinate with external parties including external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial and government authorities, where required

Establish good client relationships through positive interactions with the clients

Liaise with banker, auditors and other professional parties where required

Any other such duties that would be reasonably required for this role.

Qualifications

Accountancy Degree from reputable university and qualified Chartered Accountant (ISCA/MIA)

4-5 years of relevant experience

Experience working in trust client accounting environment is preferred but not required

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong accounting knowledge

Strong and extensive experience in consolidation

Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax Incentives (e.g. 13U and 13O) and relevant tax rules, procedures and guidelines.

Strong Microsoft Office skills with particular focus on Excel skills and Xero accounting software

Ability to communicate in Mandarin with Chinese-speaking clients
