Job Description
• Respond to telephone/online catering sales enquiries.
• Build and maintain good client relationship and rapport.
• Solicit new corporate clients through cold calling and sales visit.
• Assist clients in professional event planning, packaging, and menu selection.
• Keep abreast of trends and developments in catering industry.
• Actively brainstorming of creative ideas in improving catering services to clients
• Account for sales and profitability of event orders and ensure smooth operations of catering functions.

Requirement:
• Possess O Level / Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing
• Min 5 years of relevant experience in Hotel or Catering industry.
• Able to converse effectively in English and Mandarin to manage Mandarin speaking clients.
• Self-discipline, proactive and have strong sense of urgency.
• Must be self-driven, dynamic, meticulous, creative and sales oriented.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage with existing customers to drive renewals and upsells, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and exceeding company sales objectives.
• Drive business development efforts to identify and explore opportunities in new and existing markets.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns, which may involve:

1. Preparing and providing new or revised quotes.
2. Referring customers to relevant internal resources.
3. Support on existing subscriptions or trial services.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer data, interactions, and opportunities in the systems.
• Identify and report data discrepancies, ensuring corrections are promptly updated to maintain data accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal partners and stakeholders.
• Share timely and comprehensive information with stakeholders to support effective decision-making in sales negotiations.
• Prepare regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and actionable insights for the assigned territory.

Requirements:

• Understanding of journals sales and subscription business.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and credibility with customers and internal teams.

• Handle documentation & export LC negotiations and/or LC applications.
• Prepare shipping documentation.
• Handle and process LC, Certificate of Origin & FORM D
• To assist in processing and checking of shipping documentation
• Liaise with shipping lines and freight forwarders for freight negotiations
• Liaise with freight forwarder/customer on delivery & shipment.
• Coordinate closely with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Any other related duties as and when required

Requirements

• Experience: 1-2 years in trading company / shipping / freight forwarding handling such requirements.
• Min Education: Diploma
• Well versed with Import & Export Shipping Procedures, LC, Incoterms & Documentation
• Be able to communicate in English and Mandarin
