The Regional Corporate Planning Manager, Corporate supports the CFO. He/she is mainly responsible for all processes and teams associated with General Finance, Corporate Finance (Planning, Analysis and Treasury), Tax, Reporting and Accounting of FUJIFILM Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Fujifilm’s regional headquarters in the Asia Pacific region (“FFAP”).
Responsibilities:
- Assist the CFO in improving the organisation’s performance (including the performance of the organisation’s subsidiaries in the AP region) in terms of sales revenue, operation profit and excellence in operation process.
- He/she is expected to do so through the monitoring and analysis of a) financial numbers such as cash, sales, profit, CCC, inventory level and SG&A and b) operation process such as internal approval process, internal reporting process and SOPs.
- Assist the CFO in optimizing inventory levels and ensuring that receivables are collected and secured to improve cashflow.
- Communicate with the CFO and Managing Directors of the organisation’s subsidiaries in the AP region in improving such subsidiaries’ performance.
- Functions as a strategic business advisor and analyses both short and long-term investment plans proposed by various divisions and dispenses appropriate advice to the CFO to align finance and business decisions / strategies to grow the organisation and its subsidiaries.
- Leads the strengthening of the Finance/Corporate Planning team of FFAP and its subsidiaries by increasing their awareness on Fujifilm Headquarters’ global directions and implementing those directions in the Asia Pacific (AP) region.
- Leads the strengthening of the finance recording and reporting of the various Fujifilm group’s business in the AP region.
- Directs the strengthening of the internal financial governance structure of the organisation and its subsidiaries through the standardization of processes, seeking out efficiency improvement opportunities and strengthening documentation.
- Possess a firm grasp of economic and business trends and pushes / implement business improvement geared towards efficient cost control, maximizing profits and creating value for the organisation.
- Provides direction and advice to various business units in improving the profitability of loss making or products not contributing to the organisation’s profits.
- Required to learn and understand the organisation’s standard of financial reporting and implements this reporting standard across the organisation and its subsidiaries.
- Works with Global Headquarters and the organisation’s subsidiaries to develop consolidated budget and P&L reports for the AP region.
Requirement:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in financial discipline.
- Possess strong financial knowledge.
- At least 3 years experience in people management.
- At least 5 years of Manufacturing Management experience.
- Possess the experience and ability in analysing various type of business operations, including but not limited to, procurement, manufacturing, storage, logistics, distribution, and internal administrative activities.
- Possess the experience and ability in calculating and analysing various products/services, including but not limited to, consumer products, industrial products and healthcare products.
- Ability to identify issues and problem-solve through analysing financial data and operating process and inputs from relevant units.
- Understands and is familiar with US GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles).
- Knowledge and experience in process improvement and DX activities
- Excellent people management and communications skills
- Adept in influencing and managing diverse stakeholders across the organisation and its subsidiaries.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of purpose.
- Possess strategic mindset and financial acumen.
- Proficiency in the Japanese language (spoken and written) will be advantageous as the role requires for frequent communication with Japanese speaking stakeholders in Japan and the AP region. Discussions in Japanese will be helpful to faciliate better communication and understanding.
