Requirements:

1. A minimum of 20 years of experience in the airline industry, with a strong emphasis on cargo sales, preferably in the global region.

2. Japanese communication skill of JPLT N1 or equivalent is required for this post, for accurate and prompt communication and direction to the relevant departments at the Tokyo head office.

3. Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue and profitability targets in diverse business environments.

4. Excellent leadership and Japanese communication skills, with the ability to build and inspire high-performing teams and influence stakeholders at all levels

5. Deep understanding of the cargo industry, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.

6. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

Purpose

To drive our continuous growth in Southeast Asia, we are strengthening our Sales and Business Development team with the new role of Vice President. This role is intended to lead all company Sales & Partnership activities globally.

The new role will have overall responsibility for Pomelo’s Commercial strategy and its implementation as well as the hiring and development of the Sales team. The successful candidate will lead the revenue generation strategy and execution as well as manage the entire sales and marketing process. The role will propose sales targets and have the responsibility to deliver the agreed revenue. The VP will collaborate with the CEO, CTO and CPO in a Fintech environment. The suitable candidate will be a thought leader in the Payments ecosystem, with a drive to disrupt the current market.

Key Responsibilities

• This role will play a critical function in Pomelo’s leadership team, driving sales and partnerships and ensuring all necessary tools, processes, procedures and staff are in place to successfully support revenue and partnerships goals

• Develop growth strategies with the executive team

• Monitor the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition thru to successful launch and follow-on business engagements
• Fill management gaps by building and training individuals and teams in Sales Leadership, Partnership Development and Account Management
• Develop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals
• Oversee all Channel/Partner Development adding new sales channels and 3rd party resellers and partners
• Represent Pomelo on industry bodies and forums
• Direct in-market resources to assure that all goals are supported in a cost effective, timely manner, with a resulting high level of client satisfaction.
