The Assistant Accountant reports to the Accountant to support the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. He/She covers duties such as work that is specific to accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax filing, data compilation, billing, payroll or other accounting tasks. He/She works specifically with accruals, fixed assets accounting or the monthly and yearly finalisation of accounts for audit purposes. Accounts Receivable

• Support the AR function and activities including invoicing receipting and refunds ensuring alignment with the Group’s internal policies and procedures
• Reconcile AR ledger to ensure all receipts are accounted for and properly posted
• Perform month-end close in accordance with Singapore International Financial Reporting Standards (International) (“SFRS(I)”), including reconciliation and audit schedules
• Review monthly journals, reconciliation reports and intercompany balances
• Perform review of quarterly GST reporting, submission and respond to related clarifications
• Collate, review and respond to internal/ external audit queries

Accounts Payable
Handle end-to-end transactional processes pertaining to Accounts Payable:

• Monthly AP financial closing and management reporting, including performing variance analysis, review of vendor invoices and intercompany settlement, journal vouchers, schedules, batch payments, staff claims and bank recon to ensure adherence to the Group’s policies and guidelines
• Review monthly supplier reconciliations performed by the AP team and investigate discrepancies
• Partner with Procurement Office and Business Units to ensure vendor invoices are matched to goods receipt/services performed and payments are made within credit terms
• Perform review of quarterly GST reporting, submission and GST related clarifications
• Collate, review and respond to internal/ external audit queries

Qualifications & Work Experience

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.

Skills

Technical skills include:

• Strong working knowledge of SFRS(I)
• Prior experience in working with the SAP ERP system would be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)

Job Description:

Account

- Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management.

- Responsible for accounting processes and reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy of financial record (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, etc.)

- Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements.

Taxation

- Prepare and file tax returns (GST/WHT/CIT/...), ensuring compliance with all finance filling requirements

- Managing tax assessents, e-filing of income tax returns etc.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the company's tax practices remain in compliance.

Corporate Secretary

- Handle full specturm of company secretarial duties including preparation of directors' and shareholders' minutes of meeting and resolutions, incorporation of companies, performance of client due diligence checks etc.

- Assisting clients on corporate secretarial matters and ensuring regulatory compliances related to ACRA.

- Ensure timely submission of Annual Returns and other filings to ACRA.

- Coordinate board meetings, include agenda preparation etc.

- Maintain statutory registers and records as per regulations. Handle share transactions documentation, including transfers and issuances.

- Assisting clients with opening Corporate Bank accounts for local companies and Singapore Branch companies

- Handling company Strike-off & closure of bank accounts.

- Liaising with banks, Embassies etc

Job requirement:

- Degree in Accounting / Business

- CSIS/ISCA qualification is preferred, but not mandatory

- Good understanding of Singapore Companies Act and ACRA filing requirements

Job Description:

• Extract SAP data post month-end closing and prepare accurate and timely monthly project reports and income statements for business unit, facilitating insightful reviews and forecast updates.
• Reconcile and consolidate monthly income statements rolling forecasts for business unit, ensuring compliance with Group deadlines, and fostering a culture of financial accuracy.

• Liaise closely with overseas bookkeeping firm to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payment advice, journals, and supporting documents before payment is processed.
• Prepare online payments and coordinate with authorizers to ensure timely payments processed by the bank.
• Be prepared to undertake any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Manager, displaying flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit.

Job Requirement:

• Diploma/degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient in Excel, SAP and Hyperion
• Experience in project accounting would be advantageous

· Perform continuous audit of food costs; count and audit the inventories of all Hotel stores for pricing and quantity

· Furnish the Management with daily recapitulation of food and beverage issues, total value of storeroom inventory, Food Cost status, Beverage cost status and sales analysis in the food and beverage operations.

· Assist in the establishing and checking of purchase specifications and periodically review them to ensure that they are implemented; observe competitive market prices, participate in market surveys and make comparison of purchase prices with other Hotels.

Job Description :

• Works closely with the accounting team, other departments and overseas colleagues to ensure a smooth closing of accounts of companies managed in Singapore.
