Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s finances, ensuring accurate financial reporting, handling day-to-day accounting tasks, supporting audits, managing tax filings, and assisting with other financial projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping:

• Record daily financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.).

Skills & Qualifications:

· Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA preferred).

· Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with audit experience and SGX reporting.

Skills:

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and manage service levels with key external vendors supporting the preparation of financial statements and review the work of our outsourced partners.
• Coordinate and manage the audit process with our statutory auditors.
• Work closely with the Tax Teams for the filing of Corporate tax and VAT returns
• Prepare and /or review Tax-related balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly for US GAAP close for assigned APAC entities.
• Lead projects to optimize and transform the Statutory Compliance process by analyzing areas of opportunities and designing, testing and roll-out of new tools and processes
• Track and coordinate activities, status and planning for the APAC statutory audits by working closely with the Statutory Operations team.
• Collaborate with cross functional partners within and outside Finance to execute Accounting Team Objectives, providing support to finance management where required including ad hoc financial analysis or special projects
• Primary contract administrator within International Statutory Operations team
• Coordinate end to end StatOps vendor contracting and billing processes, triaging and escalating queries or issues as they arise, and tracking through to resolution.
• Coordinate with cross functional partners both internal and external to effectively design and manage execution of contracting project plans on time
• Fully own all tasks related to execution of contracts and issuance of purchase orders, including maintenance of status tracker, risk assessment and reporting
• Build rapport with cross functional partners and be vendor facing primary POC
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement for the benefit of the team
• Assists in preparing progress and planning documentation when necessary
• Attends all client and staff meetings pertaining to project

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Recognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA)
• 8+ years relevant experience with a fast-growing, multinational company or professional services (i.e. Big Four)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
• Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy
• Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems
• Highly collaborative, excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being comfortable with navigating change
• Superb attention to detail and possess a macro view

• Trailer Fee Computation
• Interpretation of trailer fee computation formula
• Able to translate contractual agreements to working files for fee computation.
• Checking/Reconciling past fees to counterparties, distributors and introducers
• Correcting Fee formulas in relevant agreements to avoid ambiguities
• Setting up system to facilitate and monitor fee computation and payments
• Maintain database and supporting documents for fee computation and fee.

Working as an integral part of our small dynamic team, this role’s primary responsibility is for the accurate reporting of business transactions and information that will facilitate planning decisions for the organisation. You will also complete the end-to-end process of reconciliation of all finance information from the group through to the preparation of the monthly/quarterly management reports. This is an autonomous role and will suit someone who is self-motivated and can manage tasks and priorities accordingly.

Roles and responsibilities:

Month/Year-end financial reporting

• Oversee and review the financial accountants' work during the month-end close process.
• Develop a deep understanding of business unit strategies and financial performance.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports, including budget variance analysis and detailed commentary on key transactions and individual division results, for senior management.
• Present financial results and insights to business unit leaders across the company.
• Prepare quarterly board and shareholder reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Produce and present high-quality, error-free accounting reports to the head of finance and senior management.
• Maintain and enhance accounting controls by recommending and implementing policies and procedures.
• Ensure KPI dashboards are regularly updated and reflect key business metrics.
• Support ad-hoc projects and deliver further financial analysis as needed.
• Manage cost centre reporting and provide insights on budget performance.

Budget

• Lead the preparation of the consolidated annual budget and forecast, and report variances between actual results and the budget in monthly management reports.

Chart of Accounts and Cost Centre

• Responsible for maintaining and managing group chart of accounts and cost centre.

Audit

• Assist the team with documentation requirements associated with external audit.

Continuous Improvement

• Always have a mindset of challenging current norms and question why we do things the way we do. Can we improve on what we are currently doing?
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Taking part in systems and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Singaporean/Singapore PR only
• CIMA/ACMA/CPA qualified
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in an accounting role.
• Proven experience as a management accountant is a requirement
• Experience in top tier accounting firm would be prioritised
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Xero, Fathom etc.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and MS PowerPoint skills.
• Financial services experience an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum diploma in Accounting or equivalent
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in full set accounting
• Preferred UBS Inventory and UBS Accounting software
