* Write and update manuals for each working process

Requirements :

Degree in Finance or equivalent

At least 1 year of finance experience in a large MNC preferred

1 Month or shorter notice required

Experience in construction / engineering companies preferred

Working Hours: 8.30AM to 5.30PM

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

• Review of Account Executives daily finance activities, including checking of posted entries in MYOB, matching Payment Voucher information to approved Staff Claim supporting receipts, Suppliers Invoices and Delivery Order/Service report.
• Review of Sales Invoices raised by Executives with supporting documents before authorising the Sales Invoice. Checking to MYOB to ensure accuracy of sales entries posted in MYOB by the Account Executives.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel for monthly stock-take exercise and reconcile any stock differences.
• Quantify monthly provision of expenses and revenue accrual
• Review monthly Balance Sheet, Income statement and other closing schedules
• Prepare Group consolidation and review its financial performance and reconciliation & journal entries prepared by Junior Staff.
• Prepare quarterly GST report and any reconciliation schedules
• Liaise with Auditors for the annual audit exercise
• To provide guidance for any Finance-related issues
• To undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by Management
• Propose any improvement to FM/FC to boost the efficiency of the Finance work processes

GL Accountant (6-month contract)

Our client is a leading European MNC in the education industry.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this contract role handles the accounting activities in areas of GL, Fixed Assets and other accounting related areas.

Job Accountabilities:

• Manage and execute GL activities of assigned country to ensure that overall delivery of services is within agreed KPIs and SLAs.
• Responsible for timely and accurate financial and analytical reports to Manager, GL.
• Responsible for managing key stakeholders and internal customers including assigned country FD, FP&A teams, internal control teams, external auditors etc
• Ensure regular review and smooth and timely closing of accounts monthly, including identifying any unusual transactions and movements of account balances.
• Identify and follow up on areas of concern within the reconciliation, develops corrective action plans where needed and ensures accounts are in good standing.
• Ensure that good internal controls and GL practice are met in accordance with group policies.
• Actively participate in in digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives which may involve activities such as defining requirements, change impact assessment and UAT.

The ideal candidate is meticulous and is able to work effectively with guidance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, CA or CPA will be preferred

• Has working experience with the accounting system

• Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in an accounting role

• Maintain the group's consolidation software.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA or related field
• At least 3-4 years of relevant Accounting experience, individuals with in-house Accounting knowledge and exposure to managing APAC entities are beneficial
• Possess "can-do" attitude, resilient and ability to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in use of ERP accounting system eg SAP will be good
