Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accounting Executive to join our finance team at HEYSARA ACCOUNTING PTE LTD in Singapore. The Senior Accounting Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, handling tax filings, and supporting the team with various accounting tasks. This role plays an essential part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Supervisor and Manager.
• Prepare book-keeping and financial compilations.
• Handle day-to-day full set of accounts operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL).
• Prepare bank reconciliations and perform banking functions.
• Track corporate expenses and claims, and prepare online or cheque payments.
• Prepare monthly closing and reporting.
• Prepare annual financial compilations for companies.
• Prepare tax computations and Form C or Form C-S for tax filings.
• Prepare XBRL reports for submission to authorities.
• Perform GST submissions in compliance with local regulations.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with GST filings and tax computations.
• Familiarity with XBRL and tax submission processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· To ensure that all monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports, budgets, operating forecasts and other information required by UEL are accurately complied and submitted within specified time limits, identifying variances and drafting variance explanation to the management discussion.

· To ensure hotels’ general ledgers are maintained, reflecting the current financial status and profit & loss position of the hotels, in an orderly and professional manner.

· TO ensure all postings to the hotel’s general ledgers supported by properly authorized and documented journal vouchers.

· To review all balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliation statements and control accounts reconciliation of each month end closing after updated by the Accounts Assistant latest on every 20th of the following month.

· To co-ordinate all accounting sections, making enquiries about the nature of transactions and system of control, cross checking and journalizing monthly transaction summaries for posting.

· To set guideline and deadlines for each accounting staff under his supervision in order to ensure timely financial reporting.

· To assist Accountant to prepare yearly operating and capex budgets. To provide operating and capex budgeting reports and monitor them.

· To provide accurate financial and economic data resource to the management.

· Manage the everyday and every month’s accounting operation and back office function;

· Supervise the efficiency of the finance department

· Ensure adherence to rules and regulations of Standard Accounting Practices.

· To ensure that an organized up-to-date filing system is maintained for all pertinent financial records, including limitation of access, confidentiality and other preventive measures.

· To supervise accounting staff under his supervision on the correct standards and procedures and to assist them in handling their work challenges.

· To assist to modify the hotel finance regulation.

· Make every chance to give the advice such as improving the GOP, hotel service and cost reduction

· To assist to improve the efficiency of the Finance Department

· Establish procedures to review the accounting system and internal control regularly

· Oversees the capital expense and strengthen the budget management

· Manage the cash flow

· Solve the personal problems of the Finance Department

· To ensure that hotel’s assets/durables are properly maintained and recorded in both the fixed asset register and the general ledger.

· To verify computation of deprecation and disposal of fixed assets/durables.

· To prepare annual profit and loss and balance sheet for audit purpose and collect all information available for audit discussing with auditors in respect of any adjustments and answer any queries raised by them.

· To ensure all tax returns like quarterly GST return, yearly F1 Cess return, etc, are prepared and checked on time for Accountant’s verification and submission to authorities.

· To assist in completing statistical questionnaires or surveys from government or other authorized bodies

· To assist Accountant in computing tax computation for each property by providing details expenses analysis.

· To draft and work with external auditor on the audit financial statement.

· To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Responsible for Accounts Payables & Accounts Receivable function

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise a team

· Support the Manager in finalizing monthly financial reports of Singapore companies

· Liaise with group companies for inter-companies’ billings, reconciliations and enhance projects invoicing work flow

· Prepare audit schedules, audit reports / financial statements with the Manager

· Prepare group consolidation of accounts with the Manager

· Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines

· Liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, local tax and government authorities when required

· Support and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and submissions

· Assist in new processes and system implementation when required

· Perform and participate on other ad-hoc tasks assigned

Qualifications:

· Degree holder in Accountancy/Finance/Business/ACCA, or equivalent

· Min 5 years of relevant working experience in audit, finance, accounting and/or tax

· Able to work independently to handle full sets of accounts.

· Proficient in financial software and Microsoft office

· Prior working experience in audit firm would be advantageous

· Able to work at short notice

About the role

We are inviting a self-driven individual to lead and manage a full fledge of accounting and finance activities for a client’s portfolio. You will have the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of tasks and problems to support international businesses, as well as being involved to other internal commercial matters and corporate secretary type of tasks.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Team Lead or Directors, understanding the business models of each assigned clients to act as an advisor, the duties and responsibilities are:

• Prepare and maintain the full set of accounts (AR/AP and GL) of the assigned clients’ portfolio along with supporting schedules and any other necessary reconciliation, as well as reporting and support cashflow forecasts and variance analysis.
• Prepare GST / Withholding Tax returns as well as statutory yearly reporting (i.e. XBRL files, Financial statements under IFRS and SFRS, etc.).
• Perform full monthly payroll processing including: maintain HR master data, process pay-runs, upkeep social security administration, statutory filing and annual income tax return submissions.
• Prepare the annual tax returns for the assigned clients.
• Assist with company secretary activities for the assigned clients portfolio.
• Work on any other ad-hoc requests from clients as included in the agreed scope.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy / Finance or CA/CPA
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel
