Job Description:As a Full Set Accountant Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our financial processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Accounts Management:
- Efficient handling of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Performing thorough bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reports.

2. Reporting and Analysis:
- Preparing comprehensive monthly financial reports.
- Analyzing accounting data to support decision-making processes.

3. Payment Processing:
- Overseeing payment transactions and updates.
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.

4. Data Integrity:

· Reporting to Head of Finance

· Book keeping – general ledger, AP, AR, BS, P&L, reconciliation, month-end closing, costs analysis and financial & management reporting

· Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting exercises

· GST preparation and submission to authority (IRAS) on quarterly basis

Requirements

· Degree in Accounting. CA or ACCA qualifications a plus.

· At least 3 years of relevant working experience in similar capacity, minimum 1 year experience in handling full set of accounts manually. Candidates with less years of experiences or no full-set accounting may be considered for an Accounts Executive role.

· Working knowledge of accounting principles and ledger controls

· Proficient in MS Excel

· Good understanding of local accounting standards

· Knowledge of local GST requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION

A listed US MNC with long history in the manufacturing industry, with billion units of sales is currently seeking for a Costing Accountant to join their expanding team and help in leading the tracking and managing the company’s production costs.

The selected candidate will be reporting directly to a finance manager and have 3 staff members as direct reports. Key responsibilities include supervising the costing functions, overseeing the preparation and analysis of cost report, and costing audits, accruals, inventory excess and obsolete provisions, RMA and DMR review, and reconciliations for accounts and inventory.

The Costing Accountant can also expect some travelling at times, and to work closely with stakeholders from a different time zone.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent
• Having minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry, with audit experience in recognized audit firm
• Post-grad qualifications such as Master’s degree, CPA, or CA would be highly advantageous
• Proficient with Advanced Excel, proficiency in other accounting software is good to have
• Experience in managing a team
• Strong knowledge of U.S GAAP and SOX

Basic Function:

Performs professional accounting and prepares management reporting for management review and approval. Provides these services in an effective and efficient manner and maintains records and controls.

Scope:

Responsible under the general direction of Finance Head for performing assigned accounting operations and reporting activities. Supervises daily accounting activities including reveiwing payment vouchers, checking of expenses claimed & suppliers' invoices against supporting documents & receipts etc. Ensures adequate systems and policies are in place.

Principal Contacts:

External: Deals with company's external auditors under the supervision of Senior Accountant.

Internal: Regularly in contact with all levels of the Company to reply to inquiries, discuss problems in application and interpretation of accounting and financial policy, and provode advice and assistance on accounting and financial matters.

Principal Duties:

• Performs a wide range of accounting and management reporting tasks as directed by Finance Head.
• Prepares the monthly reporting to Saudi Aramco headquarter.
• Adheres to the monthly and yearly closing schedules and ensures all the related activities are executed in time.
• Assists in the dradting of accounting policies, procedures and practices, as well as their background and intent od application in corporate finance, contracts and SAP accounting system.
• Perfoms the monthly and yearly closing of accounts.
• Assists in data gathering and prepares the business plan & operating plan.
• Assists in the preparing the mid-year and year end accountability report.
• Liaises with external auditors and tax consultants for audit and tax issues.
• Prepares audit schedules and financial statements.
• Prepares and submits the quarterly GST filing.
• Liaises with Saudi Aramco for invoicing and payments for monthly service biling.
• Liaisies with finance departments of other Aramco offices for monthly inter-company transactions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance & Accounting or Management Reporting, CPA or ACCA is a plus.
• Minimum of six years of relevant work experience, preferably within an international company.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Profiency in software application.
• SAP experience is preferred.

This is a 1-year contract role with subject to extension depending on business needs.
