Job Purpose

• Responsible for various financial tasks and analysis in relation to Ship Conversion / Profit centers and Legal entities.
• Issue customer invoices and interact with Customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Review of monthly Profit & Loss statement and account analysis
• Preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statement and account analysis for assigned vessel conversion
• Review monthly financial results with assigned rig teams and provide variance memos/schedules.
• Ensure that assigned day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with established policies, objectives and budget.
• Heavy participation in the budgeting/roll-on forecast processes.
• Review assigned area related vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and account coding.
• Review and classification of special items, authorisation for financial expenditures (AFEs).
• Interact and liaise with a variety of departments (Contracts, supply chain, HR, Technical) within the organization as well as multiple levels of management.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy.
• Determine priorities in the preparation of multiple projects on a timely basis.
• Participate in any other assigned duties, responsibilities and special projects as directed by immediate superior or determined on own initiative.
• Communicates externally with auditors, customers and vendors to ensure all transactions are recorded and there are no open issues.
• Ensure proper control and verification of all transaction and the recording of the same correctly.

Qualifications and Experience

• College degree/Diploma (Accounting and/or finance degree required), CA/ ACCA/CPA/CIMA/CMA qualifications preferred.

You will assist in the monthly financial close process and quarterly reporting, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. You will support the annual external and internal audit processes, including publishing financial statements and timely, accurate XBRL and corporate tax filings. Key responsibilities include analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, and developing templates for managing the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecast. You will also partner with business units in strategic planning and analysis discussions, providing insights on the financial impact of business decisions in accordance with IFRS, and collaborate with the corporate development team to evaluate the accounting impact of new acquisitions or corporate activities. Additionally, you will prepare monthly management reporting slides and reports and perform any other assigned duties.

skills and experience required
You should ideally have a degree or equivalent in Finance and/or Accounting with at least 5 years of handson experience in full sets of accounts and group consolidation. You MUST have experience in the Yardi system. You should be comfortable working in a lean finance team. There will be a new subsidiary set up in Johor Bahru and you will be doing their books. Office is in the West of Singapore, 5 days work in office.

• Review monthly closing of accounts include prepare supporting schedules
• Prepare consolidation of financial statements and financial reports for management and statutory reporting within the timeline
• Handle GST reporting, corporate tax reporting and deferred tax computation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, financial reporting standads and statutory requirements
• Cash flow report preparation monitoring
• Any other ad hoc assignments

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or related professional qualification with at least 2 years of experience in audit and supervisory role
• Consolidation reporting knowledge and audit experience will be added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications
