The ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) is an international organization established to contribute to the macroeconomic and financial resilience and stability of the ASEAN+3 region – comprising 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and China; Hong Kong, China; Japan; and Korea – through macroeconomic surveillance, supporting regional financing arrangements (RFAs), and providing technical assistance (TA) to members. AMRO is seeking a visionary leader for the position of Director. The responsibility of this pivotal role is to head the organization to ensure efficient and timely surveillance of ASEAN+3 economies during both peace and crisis time, and any other related work set by the Executive Committee in accordance with the Agreement Establishing AMRO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The AMRO Director will perform the following functions:

• Provide the Executive Committee with periodic assessments of macroeconomic and financial conditions and policies in the region.
