JOB SUMMARY

As a Managing Director of Chemical Engineering Plastic Company, you are responsible for driving the continued excellence and growth of the company. To oversee the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and administrative functions of the chemical industry company. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

The Managing Director (MD) is top management of the company is defined in ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) who direct and control the organization. As a top management is required to:

8. Ensure that GHG Measurements are conducted according to the Monitoring Plan.

9. Ensure that changes to processes or activities have an appropriate GHG Measurements and update the Monitoring Plan.

10. As a Business Support General Manager has responsibilities and authority relating to the management of all functions below at APS/PXS Plant:

11. Participate in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all departments’ activities to develop long range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth.

13. Review operations and plans to meet requirements for sales and to ascertain resources for manufacturing are met.

14. Review and approve of accounting result for budgetary planning, production efficiency, financial reporting and submission of capital expenditures.

Reporting to the AVP Finance & Accounting, Asia Pacific, the Associate Director, Finance’s role is one of a strategic business partner to key stakeholders in the organization by providing leadership, supervision and development opportunities to his/her team members. The focus is to lead a team in controllership function across the full spectrum of business lines, in particular, leading and managing the month-end close process, balance sheet management process, cash management, inter-company transactions, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivables, payroll and projects under a strong internal control environment. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Finance and Accounting

• Manage the month-end close process and ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared timely and accurately.
• Manage and consolidate cashflow requirements for area of responsibility and coordinate funding requirements with Corporate Treasury and other Controllership teams.
• Ensure inter-company transactions are managed in line with business activities and appropriately supported by relevant inter-company agreements.

• In conjunction with Corporate Treasury, drive the set-up of new bank accounts and facilitate the implementation of credit card solutions in the region.
• Key position in region to drive Treasury-related projects for the region e.g. zero-balance account, cash pooling, cash maximization, etc.
• Responsible for payroll function in the region including corporate and payroll tax queries and reporting.
• Responsible for W&B forecast/budget/LRP.
• Support AVPF&A in leading and driving any finance-related projects implementation in Asia Pacific region including working with external service providers through implementation
• Constantly seek process improvements and drive through changes.
• Provide appropriate support and backup to other Controllership teams as the business requires.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support Development and Architecture & Construction (A&C) teams for developmental projects, including ensuring timely settlement of progress billings and project payments.
• Support new product launch and accounting/tax set-up for AP New Product Forms
• Understand and be proficient in new business structures (e.g. AP New Product Form, Thailand transactions, IAPs, etc.) necessary to carry out the team’s accountabilities effectively.

Key experience, skills and attributes for this role:

• Degree in Accountancy, CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably with 3 years’ audit experience in a Big 4.

The Director of Tax Technology, Governance, and Transformation will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end tax technology solutions that reinforce tax governance and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategy for tax technology and governance services, aligning with company goals and client needs to drive long-term impact.
• Establish and maintain tax governance frameworks that promote regulatory compliance, risk management, and technical accuracy across all tax technology initiatives.
• Serve as a senior advisor for executive clients, addressing their governance, compliance, and technical needs through technology-driven solutions.
• Direct the successful delivery of complex tax technology projects, from concept to completion. Ensure projects are on budget, on time, and meet client specifications.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team focused on tax technology, compliance, and governance, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimisation of tax technology platforms (e.g., ERP integrations, automated compliance software, and AI-based tax solutions) to enhance governance and compliance.
• Ensure that tax technology solutions align with current regulatory requirements, including staying updated on global and local tax laws that impact client operations.
• Lead initiatives to standardise and automate tax reporting and compliance processes, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and governance across client engagements.
• Drive adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies for all technology implementations, ensuring data integrity, privacy, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CTA, CISA) or an MBA are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 12+ years in tax, finance, or technology transformation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focusing on tax transformation and governance.
• Expertise in tax technology platforms (e.g., Vertex, OneSource, Alteryx, ERP systems) with a strong understanding of tax governance frameworks and technical tax principles.
• Ability to develop strategies that bridge tax governance and technology, with foresight into market trends and regulatory changes.
• Proven track record in managing complex, high-stakes projects, with skills in budgeting, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
• In-depth knowledge of tax compliance, reporting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical and governance-focused solutions to C-suite executives and other stakeholders.
• Experience in building and leading teams, driving a culture of accountability, and delivering on governance and compliance-focused objectives.

Summary

This position will be leading the company’s structured finance department and work closely with the Managing Director and Japan HQ to achieve sales targets, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure the alignment of local strategies with the global vision of the HQ in Japan.

Job Description

• Lead and manage local team covering finance/investment in various business sector including maritime, renewable energy, private equity/debt etc
• Develop and maintain relationship with potential and existing clients/partners to increase organization’s revenue and profits
• Liaise/negotiate with Headquarters’ relevant departments for project development with Japanese-speaking counterparts and management
• Liaise/negotiate with both internal and external parties including professional accounting/legal advisory firms for execution of potential transactions
• Work closely with financial institutions and line managers to make the suitable funding arrangements
• Reviewing internal documents including meeting minutes, credit applications, financial monitoring and assessment material
• Supervising drafting proposal letters, contract documents and agreements
• Establish KPIs and conduct performance evaluation of team members
• Lead / guide to nurture juniors.
