JOB PURPOSE:

The role holder is responsible for providing leadership to the various functions for all campuses in Malaysia/Cambodia/Philippines. Responsible for developing and implementing country-specific strategies, policies and procedures while ensuring alignment with the GSF brand and managing operations to achieve the organisation’s business plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

- Leads and provides direction to all the functions in the country

- Designs and delivers country priorities and strategies in line with the organization’s business plans and brand

- Ensures policies and procedures are country-specific while maintaining alignment to the group

- Manage the operations of campuses and functions in the country

- Advises the leadership team on country-specific insights

Financial

Financial Performance:

- Responsible for the P&L for the country

- Manage multi brand P&L with growth drivers, develop relevant measurable performance metrics for the country, and proactively tracks performance against the metrics to ensure fiscal control, profitability and financial feasibility in the country

Budgeting:

- Establishes the annual budget for the country

- Manage resources as defined in Budget

- Review operational and manpower costs for each campus in the geography

Sales & Admissions:

- Responsible for enrollment growth to forecast sales and revenue for all campuses in the geography

- Achieve set targets and Review admission numbers on a weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly basis

Functional

Academics:

- Oversee the Principals and the functioning of the campuses with respect to academics, Human resources, Administration, Procurement, IT & systems & Finance (e.g. manpower, vendor related products, cross campus linkages, facilities, etc.)

- Provides guidance to the Principals with regards to business decisions (e.g. market intelligence and feasibility of introducing a new curriculum or program, etc.)

- Reviews the academic operations and rigor, planning for the board examinations and overall results of the campus though responsibility lies with the Principals

- Manage customer satisfaction as well as stakeholder communication in the country

Legal:

- Ensures statutory compliance, quality assurance and internal and external audits

Operations:

- Supervises the Operations and Procurement teams to ensure the effectiveness of the facilities management.

- Leads the Operations and Procurement teams to procure capital expenditure items for the campuses (e.g. furniture, electronic equipment, etc.)

- Manages the campus operations teams to ensure the smooth functioning of all school operations

Human Resources:

- Supervises the Business Partner HR to make strategic manpower decisions for the geography (e.g. creation of new positions, headcounts, recruitment, etc.)

- Supports the implementation of new policies and operational processes (e.g. payroll, staff welfare, induction, etc.)

Marketing & Sales:

- Responsible for meeting the admission & student numbers of the country operations

- Supervises the Marketing and sales heads of the country operations to develop the marketing strategy, and guide the brand message for the geography

- Oversees the offline marketing agencies appointed in the geography and ensures the marketing messages are tailored to the specific geography

Finance:

- Supervises the Financial Controller of the country operations to ensure, Budgeting, Accounting, Cash flows & adherence to process compliance

Projects:

- Works closely with the projects team in the head office to help identify new school sites for development & expansion

- Collaborates closely with the Projects team in taking the new projects to launch status

People Focus

- Supervises the Human Resources team to continuously increase competency within the geography to meet future organizations needs through the development and recruitment of talent

- Leads the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees in the geography

- Builds and manages high performing teams within the geography by providing leadership, role clarity, training and career development

Responsibilities:

The Senior Strategy Director’s responsibilities can be broken down into three broad categories.

Client and Stakeholder Relationship Management

• Build and own relationships with working client teams, collaborating with and guiding them along the journey

Qualifications:

Job Description

1. Manage the performance of assigned countries by leading implementation of optimal in-country activation with Distributors to deliver on expected sales and profitability/cost targets for each country.

2. Conduct regular in-country business reviews, monitor current and planned activities to accurately track, forecast and report the performance by country in order to support achievement of set targets or initiate changes needed to meet expectations.

3. Work closely with direct Supervisor, Regional Marketing, Operations and Finance teams to plan and implement in-country activation plans with excellence, including new product launches, product and sales training, and execution of marketing programs.

4. Lead Distributors to prepare joint annual business plans per country with clear focus on key customers and in-market opportunities, in alignment with SciMed regional strategies and objectives.

5. Ensure all business fundamentals e.g. product registrations, customers’ certificates requirements, sales forecasts, orders handling etc. are in place at a country level and coordinate any activities with internal teams and distributors to secure optimal functionality of in-country commercial operations.

6. Identify and develop new or existing business opportunities e.g. new distributors, new representations, market segments, potential customers to expand operations; act as local expert to support development and implementation of PHCbi and SciMed global and regional initiatives at a country level

7. Manage the assigned budgets per country by tracking and evaluating the impact of investment in each market, re-prioritizing funding to best support performance and meet financial commitments.

8. Act and lead the Distributors to conduct the overall commercial activities at a country level in full compliance with the local legislation and SciMed business practices and policies.

9. Lead and coordinate review and update of Distributor Agreements and Price Annexes on an annual basis for all markets.

10. Supervise Asst. GM for the compilation of Distributor monthly reports including Inventory reports, market updates, competitor updates and organizing and conducting regular business reviews.

11. CGT Growth: Strategize and implement CGT go-to-market plans in APAC.

12. Projects: Lead strategic growth projects such as "Make in India”, "GEM”, and new brand representations in export markets.

13. Take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Managing Director in order to support development and implementation of initiatives at a country or regional level.

Qualifications

1. University degree, preferable in business, finance or science

2. Possess 15+ years of professional experience of experience in Sales and Marketing

3. 10 years of work experience in a relevant industry sector (Medical Devices, Pharma, Healthcare, Diagnostics).

4. 5+ years’ experience in managing distributors in APAC markets.

5. Experience in working with and leading sales and marketing country teams, with strong people management capabilities.

Financial Management

POSITION SUMMARY/MISSION

The Director, Global Supply Chain Sustainability is responsible for providing leadership and management of Samsonite’s supply chain sustainability program in support of Our Responsible Journey, the company’s global sustainability strategy. This role will focus on social and environmental topics including but not limited to human rights, climate, and sustainable materials. The role works closely with key internal and external partners, including our sourcing, product development, design, legal, and other teams, as well as with our suppliers and other partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The successful candidate will engage cross-functionally to drive and further evolve supply chain sustainability strategy and, importantly, partner on the implementation and delivery of these critical initiatives. The company is seeking an individual who is a skillful translator of a diverse set of topics to our regions and brands and who helps to effectively integrate and embed sustainability into the business, driving progress towards our global sustainability goals.

Strategy

• Partner with our Regional Presidents, Sourcing and Brand leads to provide strategic direction on how to implement the company’s commitments and goals in Our Responsible Journey in our supply chain, build out programs, procedures and governance;
• Maintain and evolve our Sustainable Material Guidance, in partnership with the regions;
