Basic Purpose/Accountabilities:

The Director, Market Analysis plays a crucial role in supporting Singapore Trading activities by providing oversight and guidance to the Market Analysts group. This support encompasses offering fundamental analysis direction to the analysts, as well as serving as the Strategist for Global Heavies Trading.

Overview of the role

You will be accountable for business planning and commercial design finance for the region focused on Asia Pacific Enterprise Markets, Middle East and Africa in Home Care business. You will take a lead to design mid / long term home care business strategy and financial glidepath by collaborating with multi-functional team. You will manage short-term financial result delivery and financial reporting by providing explanation of variances and key performance drivers and consolidation of business results to senior management. You will own initiative financial design including new product design with innovation, pricing strategy, and promotion strategy. You will provide insightful analysis to support business unit leaders by identifying financial improvement opportunities.

Your team

This role reports to Finance Senior Director and works closely with Marketing / Product Supply / Sales on financial planning, design work, and analysis.

How success looks like

• Demonstrate an ability to integrate the brand strategy, pricing, consumer position and profitability to recommend solutions to identify and deliver business growth opportunities.
• Seen as trusted finance manager to evaluate business issues, anticipant questions and demonstrate excellent analytical skills to optimize investment or handle risk.

Responsibilities of the role

• Provide financial leadership to key business partners in Regional Business Unit and Market Operations, across multi-functional teams.
• Lead financial analysis of initiative design, category plans, giving business recommendations to leaders.
• Lead in monthly regional financial forecast and support actual proofing.
• Lead in delivering high standards of stewardship in organisation and process workflow.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of proven track record in managing financial forecast and budget management across a matrix organization with high level of agility.
• Experience in the Philippines or Saudi Arabia markets as the role requires local consumer understanding to develop strategies for the Philippines or Saudi Arabia markets
• Detailed understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Maturity, integrity, and high level of discretion are required.
• Independent worker and analytical problem solver with an ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve problems.
• Financial modelling expertise a plus.
• Experience in consumer goods industry would be beneficial.

The Role

This is the senior technical lead role within Singapore Gymnastics. It is an externally facing role focussed on comparing international benchmarks with Singapore’s performance and then strategising how to bridge gaps in MAG, WAG and RG.

The role requires the ability to enhance the daily training environment by recruiting, deploying, and motivating Coaches, Sport Scientists, and Sport Medicine experts to elevate Singapore's performance. It involves developing and maintaining a positive, performance-oriented culture while ensuring the health and well-being of athletes.

The role will report to the CEO and produce a performance development plan, which is a key component of the Singapore Gymnastics four-year Business Plan. They will present the performance development plan and progress reports to the Board of Directors and Sport Singapore, to support resource allocation requests, both human and financial.

Key Relationships

The role emphasises performance development rather than solely aiming for high performance. Singapore Gymnastics aims to achieve incremental and systematic improvements towards long term goals.

Therefore, the primary focus is on the processes rather than outcomes

The achievement of the outcomes will occur if the right processes are in place.

The following roles report directly to the Performance Director and collaborate with the them in executing the performance development plans:

•Head Coaches at the National Training Centres (NTCs).

•Dance and Artistry Coach.

•Performance development Manager (PDM).

•Performance Development Officer (PDO).

The following are the key relationships that need to be nurtured to be successful:

Internal: CEO; Performance Development Staff; National Coaches; SG Board; SG Staff; National Squad Athletes; NTC Athletes and their Parents.

External: High Performance Sports Institute (SSI+NYSI); FIG; AGU; Singapore Sports School; SG Clubs and Coaches

About You

·Motivated and excited by the opportunity and challenge of leading and shaping a national programme with an exciting future.

·Educated to degree level in physical education, sport coaching, sport management, sport sciences or other sports related field.

·With 10+ years of sport development experience, particularly working with junior athletes of international standard.

·Demonstrate an ability to think strategically, plan accordingly and manage resources effectively.

·Skilled inmanaging change with strong engagement and communication abilities.

·Experienced in engaging and handling expectations of diverse stakeholdersincluding the Board of Directors, Government Officials, Clubs, Coaches and Parents.

·Able to demonstrate a strong performance focus with emotional intelligence.

·Able to demonstrate a strong track record in performance development.

The successful candidate must be adept at analysing and prioritising actions, with a strong focus on quality delivery and continuous review for ongoing learning and improvement. Experience in gymnastics is desirable and considered advantageous, though not essential.

Key Outcomes

·Develop performance development plans that focus on athletes and supported by external and internal stakeholders, particularly the Singapore gymnastics community.

·Manage resources (human and financial) effectively to ensure that the performance development plans are implemented well.

·Increase the quantity and quality of coaches focused on developing performance development improvements.

·Guide clubs to increase the number of athletes in the pathway and at the NTC by focusing on selecting, supporting and tracking the progress of athletes towards the achievement of the longer-term goals.

·Support the organisations goals to be a regional leader in good governance and Safesport.

What will your day look like?

As an Associate Director, Specialised Transaction Management, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Effective management and monitoring of a portfolio of complex Corporate Finance Intl transactions that covers Project Finance, Structured Export Finance, Structured Asset Finance and Acquisition Finance.
• Support the delivery and execution of the Corporate Finance International strategy.
• Support broader portfolio management activities, including audits, controls testing, portfolio and regulatory reporting together with specific sector/industry reviews.
• Represent the business at various risk management forums, Early Alerts meetings and discussions with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Support development of key client relationships with RM partners.
• Support end to end processes within the business, working closely with the operations and enablement teams.
• Continually engage with local and overseas colleagues to share information real time such that a consistent global service is delivered to client base.
• Ensure adherence to Group, divisional process, policy and procedural requirements.
