Responsibilities

Non Financial Risks:

• Lead the development and maintenance of non-financial risk policies and tools (e.g. operational risk policies, MAS outsourcing guidelines, Risk Appetite Statements and Key Risk Indicators)

Financial Risks:

• Lead the development and maintenance of financial risk policies and tools (e.g. credit risk policy, merchant acquiring risk policy, credit scorecards and other analytical tools)

Investor Relations support:

• Provide external stakeholders with a view of the material risks and key risk mitigants employed for securing capital for the company.

Advisory:

• Provide advice and guidance to senior management and board on enterprise-wide risk related matters

Requirements:

• 8 to 10 years of experience in a financial institution.
• Good understanding of analytical methodologies and practices.
• Experience with financial (e.g. credit risk, merchant acquiring risk) and non-financial risk (e.g. operational risk, MAS outsourcing guidelines) policy development
• Prior team lead experience preferred but not a must to have.
• Strong problem-solving skills: Able to break down problems exhaustively and comprehensively in a structured manner and use data to drive decisions

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join our investments team as Vice President - Private Credit. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing private credit transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, legal and security agreements, as well as the ability to originate, lead, and syndicate transactions independently.

(A) Origination & Deal Leadership

• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of private credit opportunities across Asia.
• Establish and nurture relationships with borrowers, financial institutions, intermediaries, and other stakeholders to drive deal origination.
• Lead transactions from inception to closure, ensuring smooth coordination across internal and external teams.

(B) Transaction Structuring & Execution

• Negotiate, structure, and close private credit transactions, ensuring alignment with the firm’s investment objectives and risk parameters.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate opportunities and lead due diligence activities.
• Collaborate with legal counsel and counterparties to review and finalize transaction documentation, including term sheets, legal agreements, and security structures.

(C) Syndication

• Strategically syndicate transactions to co-investors, private credit funds, and institutional stakeholders.
• Actively present investment opportunities and maintain relationships with syndicate participants.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify syndication and co-investment opportunities.

(D) Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to internal risk management frameworks and regulatory guidelines.
• Proactively mitigate risks in transaction structuring, ensuring robust security and collateral arrangements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) in finance, economics, or a related field.
• At least 8+ years of experience in private credit or investment banking, with a strong focus on credit transactions.
• Proven track record in structuring, negotiating, and closing private credit transactions.
• Experience in leading and coordinating large, complex transactions involving multiple stakeholders.
