As a trusted partner, you will be responsible for providing an independent credit risk evaluation of SMBC credit assets in Asia Pacific region. Credit assets include (but not limited to) exposures to Corporates, Banks / Non-Banks Financial Institutions, Structured Real Estate finance, Project Finance, Securitization, and Leveraged Buyout (‘LBO’) as part of the third line of defence function. As Regional Credit Reviewer, CRG would add value and improve the bank’s credit evaluation by bringing a disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. • Conduct continuous credit reviews of individual borrowers on an ongoing basis, to assess the appropriateness of risk ratings of Obligor Grade and classification of Borrower’s Category for the Bank’s credit assets booked in Asia Pacific, ensuring adherence to internal grading policies.
