• Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring optimal performance and skill development.
• Collaborate with trading, operations, and procurement teams to support financial planning.

5. Commodity-Specific Responsibilities
• Manage commodity trade finance, including letters of credit, trade loans, and hedging activities.
• Monitor market trends and currency fluctuations impacting commodity trading.
• Oversee inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS) accounting for traded commodities.
Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA certification is an advantage).
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a senior managerial role.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Proficiency in financial management systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Solid understanding of trade finance instruments, commodity trading operations, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.
Experience
• Prior experience in the commodity wholesale trade industry or a similar trading environment is preferred.
• Proven track record of optimizing financial processes and driving business growth.
