The Credit Risk division is responsible for analysing and assessing all credit and equity exposures taken by Macquarie to minimise the risk of loss arising from failure of counterparties to repay loans or honour contracts. Our division is also responsible for undertaking reviews of counterparties and transactions and establishing appropriate limit frameworks. On principal transactions, we work with the deal team to understand risk vs reward profiles and develop risk mitigation strategies.

What role will you play?
You will be responsible for the credit review and analysis of Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets counterparties in the Asia region, including a mix of financial institutions and corporate clients. You will work closely with other global credit offices to get credit approvals from discretion holders, and work with Macquarie's business groups and opine on new products and/or new transactions, making appropriate recommendations to the relevant credit approvers.
You will also assist with the structuring of transactions where relevant, review legal terms and provide general advice and analysis to the Commodities and Global Markets division. Finally, you will be working in partnership with various business units, to assess a range of capital market related transactions including commodity transactions.
What you offer
- Experience preparing counterparty credit reviews, and credit recommendations to credit discretion holders
- Flexible and the ability to think laterally with a commercial mindset
- 2 years of derivatives credit risk experience in a large financial institution preferred but not essential
- Experience with legal documentation for capital market products such as ISDA, CSA is a plus
- Experience in transactional analysis and approval of capital markets products e.g. FX and commodity derivatives will be viewed favourably.
