2. Nursing Support

• Monitor health status (vital signs, glucose level and oxygen saturation) and escalate to Center Supervisors/ Nurse Manager.
• Assist to serve medication/ pre-packed medication and apply prescribed topical medication as instructed by Supervisor/ Manager.

3. Senior Engagement

• Plan, and conduct activities suitable for seniors taking into consideration of their preferences and interests
• Observe senior’ engagement during sessions and feedback on senior’s response and progress.

4. Administration and Operations

• Always ensure environmental safety and hygiene of the centre including carrying out the necessary cleaning and disinfection and looking out for hazards
• Able to do basic documentation of senior’s participation in various engagement activities.

Job Requirements:

• Willingness and Patience in serving the elderly client
• Prior experience in caregiving duties in Hospitals; Nursing Homes or individual parents would be advantageous
• WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare (Community Care), KWSH, Ren Ci & HMI

Life Community is recruiting for an experienced Student Care Centre Supervisor, to lead a team to care and mentor children aged 7 – 12 in a student care setting, by providing quality after-school care support in a homely environment.

You will play an active role to ensure good Centre performance by developing strategies that are in line with the organisation’s vision and mission. As a leader at the Centre, you will be building relationships with stakeholders, e.g. parents, volunteers and corporate partners, as well as leveraging on resources in the community, for the well-being of the children.

Key Roles & Responsibilities include:

1. Oversee the day-to-day centre operations, including allocation of staff work scheduling & responsibilities.
2. Manage the enrolment of students and maintain optimum level of enrolment
3. Maintenance of student care facilities to ensure good health and hygiene standards of the premises, and oversee renovations as deemed necessary.
4. Plan & implement effective curriculum, programmes and activities for the centre, including enrichment and character development sessions
5. Manage staff-related matters (e.g: recruitment, staff development, performance appraisals, conflict management, mentoring) and lead staff meetings & devotion.
6. Manage relationships with parents and attend to enquiries, feedback or complaints
7. Manage volunteers and partnerships with external organisations to deliver programmes for students.
8. Plan & co-ordinate school holiday programmes and student care events
9. Prepare regulatory and management reporting and manage regulatory audits.
10. Provide oversight over the financial records of the centre, including the inventory listing, management of petty cash.
11. Any other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• At least a Polytechnic Diploma in a relevant discipline, preferably early childhood, business, social work or counselling.
