Job Description

Childhood Builder After School Centre attends to children whose age range from 7 - 12 years old (Primary 1 - 6) after they are dismissed from their respective primary schools.

The after school facilitator is required to work part-time from 1.00 - 7.00 p.m. (subject to 30 hours per week) or full-time from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (subject to 40 hours per week) Monday to Friday. During primary school closure in March, June, September, November and December as well as national events such as Youth Day, Primary School Leaving Examination Oral and Listening Comprehension, the after school facilitator will be required to work full-time from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. or 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The after school facilitator is required to supervise homework assigned by primary school teachers and assign age-appropriate assessments and indoor activities/ play after school work.

The after school facilitator will be also be required to conduct outdoor activities as well as plan excursions and indoor activities for the after school children during school holidays.

The safety, health and hygiene of the after school children must be maintained at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our goal is to help elderly individuals maintain independence and quality of life while remaining in the comforts of their own homes. We aim to provide quality services designed to meet various care needs, from basic personal assistance to specialised nursing care, ensuring seniors receive appropriate and compassionate support.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development to Care Associates as well as actively participating in quality improvement initiatives to continuously refine care processes and elevate service excellence. Additionally, you will play a key role in fostering a supportive team environment and implementing best practices to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

You would

• Provide and exemplify organisational standards for home personal care services
• Conduct regular field visits to ensure care is delivered according to expected standards
• Manage a team of Care Associates, offering mentorship, direction, and advocacy
• Communicate effectively with the team regarding guidelines and updates on care standards
• Monitor and manage the deployment schedule, leave, and medical leave of Care Associates
• Coordinate and arrange for regular reassessments of care plans to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain inventory and records of consumables and equipment required for service delivery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care processes
• Lead or participate in initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth and increasing service utilisation

You are

• Holder of Higher Nitec in any discipline
• Experienced in eldercare, healthcare, or hospitality, along with relevant leadership experience, would be advantageous
• Able to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment
• Skilled in communication and stakeholder management
• Passionate in community services and service-oriented
• Proficient in Google Suite Applications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist doctors and registered nurses in simple procedures
• Documenting, monitoring and recording observations of residents and their vital signs and reporting changes in condition to the registered nurse
• Supervise / assist residents in their daily needs (e.g. personal grooming and daily living activities)
• Escort residents for medical appointments
• Guide residents to participate in development and recreational programmes
• Provide general supervision of residents

No specific qualification required.

You will be considered for the position of Nursing Aide with at least a qualification in any of the following:

• NITEC in Community Care & Social Services;
• NITEC in Nursing;
• HMI Institute of Health Sciences' Certificate in Healthcare Support
• WSQ Certificate in nursing care-related courses and / or relevant work experience in nursing care

• Work Location: Eunos / Chai Chee / Sembawang
• Work Hours: 5-day work-week; 8.30 am to 6.00 pm
