The Student Affairs Office seeks to achieve its mission of collaborating and co-creating a meaningful and enriching student life experience with its partners by:

• promoting students’ personal growth through co-curricular learning arising from student-led activities, leadership development initiatives, residential hall programmes, inclusion and integration efforts, community engagement initiatives and sports
• facilitating meaningful engagement among key stakeholders within and outside of the NTU community.

Scope of Work

Bridging Programme

· Coordinate with various Offices to support Bridging Programme Students’ administrative transition into Singapore and university.

· Collaborate with various Offices to plan and implement the pastoral care programme for Bridging Programme Students.

Student Support and Case Management

· Work with Offices and Schools to identify and provide relevant support services to Science & Engineering scholars, both academic and non-academic.

· Plan and implement activities for these students, to help them better integrate academically and socially.

University-Wide Integration Efforts

· Collaborate with and provide advice to students, staff, and faculty to educate and raise awareness of integrative practices.

· Plan and implement programmes and initiatives that inculcate the importance of diversity and integration.

· Support the development and implementation of policies and practices which enhance integration within university.

Data Analysis and Reports

· Data analysis and preparation of reports for submission to regulators and senior management of university.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in any related field from a recognised University.

· Good working knowledge on the transition and integration of international students in higher education.

· At least 3 years of relevant experience which involves considerable interaction with youth.

· Experience with international students in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous.

· Sensitive to and empathetic towards the transition and integration challenges faced by international students.

· Critical and lateral thinking skills.

· Ability to adapt effectively in a complex and constantly changing environment.

· Communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with university students and colleagues from different cultural and disciplinary backgrounds.

· Strong drive to initiate, plan, implement and deliver integration initiatives on time and on target.

· Proficient in all Microsoft Office application software.

Working hours: Daily Monday to Friday | 10.30am - 7.30pm or 12.15pm to 9.15pm

Job Description

• Handle walk-ins, telephone and email enquiries .
• Promote centre course sand provide course consultation to prospective parents and students.
• Coordinating and facilitating classes for the centre.
• Handle general administrative tasks pertaining to student and course registration matters.
• Supervision of homework and spelling for primary school children (primary 1 to 6)
• Responsible for new students enrollment daily.
• Follow up on sales enquiries with parents who enquire and collection of school fees.
• Take attendance and assign classrooms to teachers and students for daily course.
• Communicate with tutors, parents and/or students on starting classes or change of timing, and any other situation that may arise.
• Take photos of classes for marketing collaterals and helping in creating advertising materials.
• Simple cleaning
• Perform any ad hoc basis as assigned by manager.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE O' Level or any related educational level.
• Minimum possess 1 year of relevant working experience in customer service role would be advantageous.
• Training would be provided for candidate that does not have relevant working experience.
• 2 Days of compulsory training is required.
• Must be able to work for the above timing mentioned.
• Able to commit full duration of the contract (1 year).
• Must be responsible and committed
• Able to work as a team
• Possess good working attitude and keen to learn.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (in order to follow up on sales enquiries with Mandarin speaking parents in regards with the collection of school fees.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept with technology
• Must love children and comfortable working around them.
