Mission of the Department: The Finance department in WWF Singapore is to provide donors, stakeholders, and business partners with sound financial and internal control and governance in alignment with the Singapore Charities Act, Financial Reporting Standards, and WWF policies. We focus on efficient operating systems and processes, information, analysis, and business insights needed for informed decisions, and strong financial resources to support WWF’s priority conservation activities in Singapore and the rest of the global network.

Major Functions: Deliver timely and accurate financial information and business performance insights for the operations of fundraising and conservation activities of WWF Singapore. Provide strategic financial planning, oversight of project expenditures and revenue, and cash management to maximise the efficient and effective use of funds. Drive accountability, control and compliance, and risk awareness by a high-performing team of talented finance professionals based on trust and mutual support.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Manage finance operations with two direct reports, supervising and mentoring staff to ensure productivity, professionalism, and performance.
• Drive the standardization of operational processes within the Finance Department.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Ensure timely monthly financial close, including the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
• Ensure reporting compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines, staying updated on accounting best practices and regulatory changes.
• Oversee the timely and accurate completion of all financial audits and tax filings, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the Head of Finance to deliver on the compliance agenda.

Business Partnering and Strategic Support

• Support the annual budget preparation and monthly reforecast exercises.
• Partner with fundraising teams on performance reviews, reforecasts, and budgeting.
• Provide guidance for the department's digital transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation and procure-to-pay processes.

Internal Controls and Governance

• Strengthen internal controls and governance practices, including handling internal audits and implementing recommended improvements.
• Collaborate on governance initiatives to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Tax, Treasury, and Financial Matters

• Manage tax compliance, cash flow, treasury operations, and other related financial responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.
• Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles, fund accounting, and grant management a plus
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Good knowledge of IFRS and GST
• Experience in SAGE or other accounting systems e.g., SAP, Oracle would be an advantage
• Familiar with good internal control practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in leading and developing a team of accounting professionals.
• Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of non-profit organizations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills & experiences:

• Minimum 3 years of airline experience
• At least a university degree in Engineering or Aviation
• Possess job knowledge from previous airline in a similar related position.
• Possess strong commercial acumen with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Result oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both strategy consulting, preferably from a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), and also corporate finance, while possessing a deep understanding of the digital banking sector. This role will be pivotal in driving our growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, investor relations and market expansion.

· Manage social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, website, etc) and ensure that up-to-date information is uploaded.

· Work with management on formulating and implementation of marketing initiatives

· Conceptualize and develop marketing plans and initiatives aligned with Company’s objectives and brand strategies

· Develop creative promotional campaigns to drive brand to achieve optimal sales growth

· Work on tight dateline to meet media advertisements by various Landlords and ad hoc media exposure offered and/or pick up by media companies.

· Regular store visits to ensure correct and consistent marketing communications as well as distinctive display of marketing materials.

· Sale of F&B related events/conferences.

· To maintain and grow F&B sales for exiting the client.

· Implementation of sales and marketing strategies to increase business revenue.

· Manage multiple projects via events, seminar and meetings as per arranged. Participate in any ad-hoc sales and marketing duty.

Job Scope

· Register and enroll visitors facial recognition efficiently and accurately

· Provide efficient queue management and crowd control where needed

· Protect and maintain accurate and updated visitor records according to PDPA requirements

· Key management including issue, return and accounting for all keys on a daily basis

· Able to multitask and to work fast

· Respond and explain appropriately to public enquiries and requests according to guidelines and policies.

· Monitor attendance and prepare report as needed.

· Comply and adhere to SOPs, policies, guidelines and processes

· Flexibility to change roster should there be a need to.

· Manage records, documents and files in support of required activities for pre-enlistment. This would include organising and updating records and files, scanning and uploading of documents to system.

To participate in digitisation exercises, organising files and documents as necessary.

Requirements

· Track record for excellent Customer Service

· Able to learn quickly and adapt to changes.

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Good command of English (written and spoken).

· IT savvy and familiar with common software.

· WSQ certification in customer service is an advantage
