About the Role
The Manager in the ST Outreach and Engagement team will conceptualise, plan and execute events and the publicity plan for The Straits Times, based on objectives, target audience and requirements.
In this role, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
EVENTS
- Be responsible for managing events from start-to-finish (from conceptualising and programming to scheduling, marketing, budgeting, venue-sourcing, developing customer journey plan and producing post-mortem reports)
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive event deliverables
- Work with external vendors to execute events efficiently and effectively
- Work with various teams to deliver on targets and ensure that metrics are measured and met
- Ensure sponsor/ partner agreements, and deliverables/ entitlements are fulfilled
- Ideate new ways to make events more engaging
- Ensure events are compliant with policies and guidelines
- Be present on-site to run the event and to ensure operational efficiencies
PUBLICITY & MEDIA MANAGEMENT
- Be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, overseeing publicity campaigns, and crafting compelling content to captivate our target audience. This role requires a blend of creative thinking, leadership skills, and hands-on expertise in marketing and copywriting.
- Develop and implement the integrated marketing and communication plans for the respective events
- Craft and edit high quality copy for use on different assets and platforms
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive deliverables
- Be in charge of surveys and feedbacks for all events - from crafting the questions to analysing results
- Manage media requirements for the various events
Job Requirements
- Relevant diploma or degree
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in events management, marketing, engagement and outreach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Experience in public relations and media handling
- Detail-oriented
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with working both independently and collaboratively
- Able to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable with cross-functional work
- Proficient in both Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
This role is on a 1-year temporary contract.
