Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marine service executives and coordinators.
  Allocate resources effectively and ensure team members meet performance objectives.
  Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
  

1. Operational Oversight : Oversee daily marine operations, including vessel scheduling, port clearances, and service arrangements.
   Ensure seamless coordination with port authorities, agents, and vendors to meet operational demands.
   Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency.
   
2. Client and Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any escalated issues.
   Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, port authorities, and service providers.
   Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth and service improvement.
   
3. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation : Ensure compliance with international and local maritime regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
   Oversee the preparation and submission of all required shipping and operational documentation.
   Conduct regular audits to ensure documentation accuracy and adherence to standards.
   
4. Cost and Budget Management : Develop, manage, and monitor the department’s budget to ensure cost efficiency.
   Analyze operational costs and implement strategies to optimize spending without compromising service quality.
   Provide regular financial and operational performance reports to senior management.
   
5. Strategic Planning and Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
   Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
   Collaborate with senior management to align marine operations with company goals and strategies.
   

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in marine services or shipping operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, port operations, and logistics.
• Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating diverse teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office and marine operations software.

Manager Responsibilities:

• Delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations
• Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees as they provide attentive, efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
• Resolving conflicts or complaints from customers and employees.
• Monitoring store activity and ensuring it is properly provisioned and staffed.
• Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies.
• Establishing and achieving business and profit objectives.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy business, ensuring that signage and displays are attractive.
• Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers or other parties.
• Ensuring staff members follow company policies and procedures.
• Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business.

Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field.
• More education or experience may be preferred or required.
• Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles.

As a Warehouse Assistant supporting at our Manufacturing Site, you will be trusted to work on Warehouse Duties. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Perform goods receipts (GR) physical and transactions in SAP system.
• Raw material issuance to production (physical and system).
• Perform monthly cycle count and yearly stock take.
• Ensure inventory accuracy in the warehouse.
• Ensure compliance to SOP, ISO, GMP/GDP, AFCM, FDA, MDSAP and HSE regulatory.
• Perform finished goods posting in SAP.
• Perform Palletizing of finished goods.
• Load and unload pallet to/from racking.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Able to commit to day shift (830am-830pm/ 2-2-3 shift pattern)
• Must have forklift licence
