We’re growing and growing fast across the globe which means we’ll need more streamlined HR processes, guidelines and frameworks and enhancements in HR tech, to better the experience for employees at Ascenda.
The purpose of the role is simple - to create an amazing people experience at all touch points of the people lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead People Operations at Ascenda and drive continuous improvement initiatives, using technology to streamline and standardize processes and policies
- Set the HR team technology roadmap including maintenance, review, testing and implementation of HR technology systems (HRIS, ATS, benefits administration technology etc.) and enhancements and ensure cross-functional alignment
- Own lead and drive simple and where possible HR tech enabled people operations processes throughout the people lifecycle
- Ensure that the foundations work seamlessly whilst relentlessly continuing to improve experience and efficiency (from the day to day to transformative projects)
- Manage and lead various aspects of HR Operations including employee documentation, on-boarding and off-boarding, insurance and HR audits
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and enforce HR policies and processes that mitigate risk and protect the company from exposure and harm
- Implement and oversee data governance that maintains the integrity of data in HR related systems
- Work closely with finance and/or outsourced vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and other claims
- Work directly with third party vendors and our benefits brokers to ensure best-in-class and competitive benefits
- Oversee management of immigration requirements such as application and renewal of work visas etc.
- Manage and oversee EOR arrangements in locations where Ascenda does not have a legal entity presence
- Support with employee relations matters by providing guidelines and clarifications on policies and their application
- Institute people data analytics, insights and reporting that inform strategy and improve the people experience
What you bring to the table
- Experience in people operations / experience or similar role
- You’ve done this before, you’ve worked in a fast paced tech growth environment – implemented and integrated new HR tech platforms, understand the intricacies of EOR, Global PEO, managed employee benefits, rewards and equity internationally
- You know what excellent, simple and seamless people experiences look like and you’ve implemented them before
- Proven experience launching and driving multiple system implementations (e.g. HRIS, ATS etc.) requiring change management communication
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations to maintain optimal system performance.
- Employee relations expertise: Strong understanding of employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management. Ability to handle sensitive employee issues with discretion and professionalism
- You’re a problem solver and great communicator
- A growth mindset and a go-getter attitude; someone who can work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment while keeping in mind the bigger picture
- You are execution and delivery focussed
- A mind for detail—you are detail-oriented and have the ability to dive deep into HR data to determine patterns and check for inaccuracies
- You embrace technology and data and have a passion for solving problems by establishing clear systems / processes that result in efficient operations
- Ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships across functions and geographies
- Strong detailed and conceptual thinking skills to analyze sophisticated problems and propose solutions despite technical and operational constraints.
- Experience in building and leading high-performing HR Technology teams preferred
