Purpose of the position

● Repair and maintenance work for MacGregor product (crane) range, plus 3rd party maker if needed

● To ensure the work is carried out efficiently, accurately, in a friendly manner and supporting management and the rest of the organization in necessary areas

● To support Service overall goals and budgets

● Ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE and other rules and requirements according to MacGregor standards

Main tasks and responsibilities

● Professionally supervise and/or perform service activities (refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions) on MacGregor and equivalent equipment

To carry out the day to day activities as specified below:

● Provide information and write reports as required

● Establish and maintain good relationships with both internal and external customers

● Enable feedback from customers and the service market in general to reach the appropriate MacGregor organisation

● Stay up to date with relevant developments, routines, processes and news within MacGregor major customers active in business area

● Cooperate with the local MacGregor service network

● Comply with all relevant safety and quality requirements

● Follow all site safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements

● Recognize service and spares sales opportunities and communicate that to the relevant persons

● Support sales activities such as follow-up on leads and quotes while at site, as agreed with sales responsible

● Sharing of acquired job knowledge with the team as necessary

● Awareness of the profitability in the department

● Job management of the subcontractors

● Need to work irregular schedule with short notice at times

● Sometimes need to travel or follow with vessel for job assignment

Authority

● Make decisions about commercial matters within prescribed limits for each project, previously agreed with the Operations Manager or Superintendent

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:

● Technical education or college level in electrical background or similar relevant experience

Experience:

● Min. 5 years’ experience with marine cranes

● Experience in the marine industry with crane or deck machinery experience is preferred

Competencies:

● English language, report writing and communication skills will be essential

Job Summary

The Senior Service Engineer is responsible for carrying out after sales field service jobs including testing & commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting and overhaul of Ingersoll Rand’s compressed air installed bases. He/she will require technical knowledge of compressed air systems, customer orientation and strong ownership mindset to be successful in this role.

He/she would need to handle escalated customer issues, assist with the technical development of the field service team to improve customer’s aftermarket satisfaction in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, diagnose, maintenance and rectification on compressed air system at various commercial and industrial establishments.
• Conduct site and classroom training to customers on compressed air system.
• Recommend necessary actions to improve the efficiency and reliability of customer’s compressed air system.
• General service report writing for internal and external customers.
• Document and prepare field service quality reports. If there are quality problems, it is necessary to feedback specific product defects to the production department and assist customers to take corrective measures.
• Provide technical support for the Industrial Technologies & Services (ITS) products, including and not limited to Compressed Air System, Air Dryers System, Air Audit and IIOT system.
• Support the field service team in Singapore to solve field issues, including machine commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create the technical report as requested by customer.
• Work closely with After Market Manager to manage customer escalations and works with customer, staff and other divisions to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with strong field service experience in compressed air systems and PLC panel programming or related.
• Singapore Class 3 driving license.
• Fluent in written & conversational English.

Job Objectives

The job holder will be in charge of Customer portfolio and is Airbus Helicopters representative for any concerns regarding Spares, Repair, PBH, Blades, AOC and Warranty administration flow.

• To guarantee the logistics performance to the customers for Spares, Repair, PBH, Blades, AOG and Warranty needs while securing Airbus Helicopters Material & Logistics financial performance.
• Manage and coordinate all actions for customer satisfaction. He/She needs to organize regular meetings, visits with the customers. Provide customer with information on support and services.
• Collect and discuss customer feedback.
• Monitor the support and service performance at individual customer level.
• Launch and pilot any required action plan.
• Act as Customer Support Manager (CSM) focal point for customer interface and support Vietnam based customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure treatment of all customer’s orders and deliveries on time and on quality.
• Ensure customer reporting of order book.
• Regularly liaise with central organization stakeholders, such as Head of Segment and CLM referent by ensuring proficient communication.

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related disciplines from a recognized institution
• Minimum 3 years managerial experience in Customer Service environment, preferably in the aviation industry
• Ability to communicate, interact effectively at different working levels
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office like Excel is preferred
• Able to work independently in multi-task environment
