Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Customer Service Executive’s primary responsibilities are to work closely with internal and external customers to ensure smooth and proper execution of operation process and provide the best possible solutions to meet customer’s need.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Execute day-to-day operations process and activities by following SOP.
• Provide effective communication and assistance to customers in addressing customer inquiries and requests and manages customer expectations.
· Work with Branch manager to trouble shoot and provide logistical / operations solutions for issues of a moderate to complex scope.
• Understand customer’s requirements, evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints.
• Communicate with internal and overseas customers, coordinate with vendors or agents to ensure smooth running of both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Work proactively and continuously to identify cost savings and service enhancements and process improvement on freight service to enhance overall customer’s satisfaction.
• Monitor transportation progress and take necessary measures to ensure compliance with delivery deadlines. In case of delays or issues, provide relevant information to customers and work towards resolving the problems.
• Maintain and support data management to ensure the overall accuracy, completeness and consistency of data captured in the system.
• Maintain good relationship with customers by providing advance customer support to ensure efficient transportation arrangements, and improving customer satisfaction.
• Seek business opportunities, initiate penetration with branch manager and sales team.
• Eliminates identified problems both internal and external to get the job done effectively.
Qualifications:
· University graduates or Diploma, preferably in logistics / business administration / marketing; or equivalent in business or related field.
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in customer service / sales support/ operations in freight forwarding or related industry
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other technical software
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Customer-facing experience preferred.
