Job Description

· Classroom Management

· Conduct team meetings with Allied Health Care Professionals such as Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist and Psychologist.

· Planning and implementation of social/emotional/behavioural interventions

Requirements

· Minimally an advanced diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) / Degree in Special Education

· Teaching experience in EIPIC would be an advantage

· Knowledge of AEPS would be an advantage

· Experience working with young students with learning disabilities – minimum one year

· Strong command of the English language

Job Description:

· Assess and provide individualised Occupational Therapy intervention for children with a wide range of developmental challenges (e.g. motor coordination disorder, sensory processing disorder, or autism spectrum disorder)

· Conduct group Occupational Therapy classes if required (e.g. in the areas of handwriting and socialisation)

· Establish good therapist – parent relationships through regular feedback and open communication. This includes providing parents and caregivers with updates on the child’s progress and relevant home strategies and recommendations after each session with the child.
