Position Summary:
The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of our Soft Service Team. This role involves planning and scheduling manpower, ensuring excellent service delivery, and managing client relationships.
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager specifically for Environmental Services. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient daily operations of cleaning services while adhering to contract requirements and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Operations Manager will oversee manpower scheduling, staff performance, client relationships, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement manpower schedules to optimize daily cleaning operations and meet contract specifications and customer expectations.
· Monitor and assess manpower operations, recruit staff as needed, and ensure staff performance aligns with productivity and service quality standards.
· Review and develop manpower strategies to optimize team performance and operational efficiency.
· Manage and review daily staff attendance, performance evaluations, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
· Regularly monitor and control manpower costs to ensure alignment with the budget.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships to address their concerns and understand their cleaning requirements.
· Ensure the Soft Service Team adheres to cleaning schedules, checklists, and quality standards.
· Collaborate with the Soft Service Team and clients to review and improve operational plans.
· Manage inventory levels for cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies, and collaborate with procurement for timely replenishment.
· Develop, implement, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health regulations, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.
· Assess staff training needs, develop and implement training plans to enhance skills and performance.
· Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure cleaning materials and equipment at competitive prices.
· Oversee health and safety compliance for cleaning operations, including staff adherence to safety protocols.
· Act as the primary point of contact for clients, promptly addressing any concerns or special requests.
· Supervise, train, and motivate the cleaning team to ensure high performance and adherence to health and safety standards.
· Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement programs.
· Prepare and manage the cleaning operations budget, ensuring cost control without compromising service quality.
Qualifications:
- Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in operations management within the environmental services sector and handling multiple job sites.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and collaborate with team members.
- Proficiency in handling operational issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Experience in performance management and staff supervision.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports and analyse service performance.
