SUMMARY

The Assistant Finance Manager will assist in supervising, coordinating and performing accounting activities across the entire Finance Department. This role will also include the responsibility of evaluating set accounting controls and their compliance. To ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with internal policies, required accounting standards and statutory regulations with the objective of providing timely as well as accurate financial or management reports. To troubleshoot areas where irregularities have been identified in the financial ERP system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist in periodic, monthly and yearly management or financial reporting, where accurate and timely reporting of the Company’s financials in accordance with internal and regulatory guidelines are met.
• To account for and upkeep fixed assets ledger in accounting system.
• To be familiar with FRS 116 – Leases and its mechanics.

• To participate in the review and filing of quarterly GST as well as annual corporate tax returns where required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ ACCA or equivalent.

• Ensure timely preparation of Financial Statements, management reporting, cash flow, budget, and audited financial statements by Entity and Group.
• Check and ensure all audit schedules, payment vouchers, invoices, and credit notes are in order.

• Manage and coordinate with outsourced accountants including but not limited to Australia and Japan.

The incumbent leads Factory’s Engineering Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing engineering projects to ensure they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation, improve processes, and ensure the successful execution of engineering initiatives. The incumbent is also responsible for mentoring team members and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

The incumbent will assist in managing project deliverables and monitoring timeline. Incumbent will coordinate with respective stakeholder internal or external to ensure smooth completion of the project.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree and above / relevant Trade Certifications in Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Industrial Engineer or related
• 7 years working experience (with at least 3 years in managerial or leadership role) in FMCG manufacturing companies in a similar role preferred or relevant experience in leading medium to large scale projects involving process improvement or installation of new production line.
• Able to read, write and speak fluently in Chinese and English.
• Abel to communicate in Malay would be beneficial.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role reports to Director, SCE and will be responsible for achieving the organisation's fundraising and donation targets, specifically for Corporates (with Foundations), Private Foundations, Family Offices and High Net Worth individuals , to deliver the organization's strategies and Mission to realise its espoused Vision.

The SM, Partnerships (Others) Development plays a critical role in enhancing MINDS' engagement and fundraising capability. Focusing on Corporates (with Foundations), Private Foundations, Family Offices and High Net Worth individuals, this candidate will support their volunteering and donation/fundraising activities to help them achieve their CSR/ESG goals.

The SM, Partnerships (Others) Development will also be responsible for the application of relevant grants in support of MINDS' programmes and services as well as the submission of impact reports to update funders of the outcomes of their donations. As a key member of SCE, he/she will also support the department's events and activities.

Donor Engagement & Development:

• Strategise, lead, build pipelines and drive engagements with identified stakeholders across the following key segments - corporate donors (with Foundations), Foundations, Family Offices and High Net Worth individuals.
• Strengthen relationship with existing partners to deepen extent of partnership and support for MINDS.
• Innovate and explore new ways and platforms/channels of reaching out to prospective donors to grow and sustain philanthropic giving for MINDS.

Fundraising Strategies:

• Develop, implement, and review Donation/Fundraising framework, policy and guidelines for whole of MINDS.

• Propose yearly donation targets for Senior Management approvement.
• Strategise, lead and drive 2 fundraising campaigns to establish a sustainable income source for MINDS Colours of Inclusivity and Colour My World.

• To be conversant with funding support available and identify appropriate grants that MINDS could apply for in support of their programmes/services.
• Work with entities and prepare grant applications to various funding bodies.
• Prepare impact report to funding bodies to update on outcomes of programmes/services.

Marketing Communications:

• Develop the necessary collaterals to engage the target donors groups and publicise fundraising campaigns, including but not limited to eDMs, microsites and social media posts.

Volunteer Management:

• Engage and expand network of volunteers from corporate donors (with Foundations), Foundations, Family Offices and High Net Worth individuals.to support for MINDS' events and activities.

Dept Support and Team Management:

• Support Dir, SCE in managing Dept budget and preparing all necessary reports to Senior Management, Board etc.
