You will provide leadership on audit and assurance engagements, with a focus on financial services clients which includes engagement planning, execution and finalisation of an audit and assurance engagements and leading the team to handle such engagements. You will be fully accountable for the engagements and will be tasked with ensuring that the engagement process against budget and timeline is closely monitored.

You will develop and maintain long-term client relationships, with a focus on business development. You will review and provide key technical expertise to ensure the quality of audit work performed is compliant with professional and regulatory standards and requirements. You will also undertake a role in professional development activities such as training, staff recruitment and performance management.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Identify client’s business and key risks
• Analyse the impact of changing business environment on client’s business
• Implement and provide input to engagement plan
• Perform assurance engagements in compliance with professional standards, AML/KYC, MAS regulatory reporting and related compliance areas.
• Propose resolutions to accounting and auditing issues
• Review information accompanying the assurance report in accordance with applicable framework
• Identify areas for personal development to improve work performance
• Facilitate effective communication within the cross functional and culturally diverse team
• Lead and coach junior team members to achieve technical competency and efficient performance

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, preferably with a recognised professional qualification
• 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably from an international accounting firm
• Must have experience working on financial services engagements, i.e., insurance, banks, payments, asset and wealth management, etc.
• Must have experience working on regulatory audits, preferably on Singapore engagements
• Experience in building/setting up a new team/function would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively and efficiently across all levels
• Good understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, audit standards and accounting principles
• Possess positive “can do” attitude to challenges and the agility to multitask effectively across competing priorities

ob Descriptions:

• Lead/manage a team of Quantity Surveyors in the administration and review of procurement and contract management
• Review contract documents and providing cost estimates on tenders
• Prepare and monitor project cost budget, cash-flow for project, track changes in design/construction work, variations and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Oversee and manage main contract progress claim and subcontract payment including variation claim
• Resolving contract disputes and contract claims, assessing entitlement for extension of time and loss/expense claim
• Able to independently lead/manage large scale project
• Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondences and documentations
• Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders
• Ensure timely finalization of main and subcontract

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Civil Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in contract negotiation, administration and/or management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical mindset, problem solving abilities, as well as keen interest and motivation in a high growth and entrepreneur environment
• A high level of integrity, dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result oriented

Manage and oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project.

To plan, develop and organize the construction effort to formulate the most cost-effective plan to timely completion within budget and to implement the execution of that plan.

Define clear roles & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to all the team members.

Review man-hours and duration forecasts to completion for construction and man-hours

Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Provide recommendations and institute measures for improvement.

Requirements:

PE Board/BCA accredited Degree in Civil Engineering
