This role:
Position: Azure Synapse & Azure Data Factory Developer
Duration: 12 Months (renewable)
Location: Singapore

Role & Responsibilities:

Primary Skills: Microsoft Azure App Service

• Experience in Data migration for medium to large scale projects; profile data, develop data migration and reconciliation approach, lead data mapping activities, govern data model changes, supervise ETL and recon build.
• About 6-8 years’ experience
• Solutioning and Hands-On Experience in Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI (or similar toolset).
• Basic knowledge of DB2, MSSQL, Cloud Infrastructure, and Security.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Data migration issues (e.g. perform analysis of logs to determine ETL failure and provide resolution, perform analysis of data reconciliation breaks and provide resolution, tuning scripts to improve performance)
• Experience in managing data cleansing activities; analysis, tracking, and stakeholder management
• Integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
• Client consulting and technical leadership experience
• Proficient with visual data tools like Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
• Demonstrable professional experience with data mining, analysis, and modeling, of large-scale, complex data sets

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements to build central data layers to enable data scientists and data analysts
• Develop dashboards on visualization tools on Tableau using best practices for user to draw business insights and meet their reporting needs
• Execute the tableau administrator duties which include:
  • Server setup and configurations by working with the infrastructure team
  • Setup the process for user access controls and permissions
  • Establish the deployment, maintenance and data backup strategy
• Build the basic metrics to measure tableau performance, adoption, etc.
• Analyse data sources and perform data profiling to identify data quality issues, data discrepancies, and data transformation requirements
• Move data from source to destination, build data workflows, data management, data governance, and maintaining solutions like cloud data warehouses and lakes
• Develop technical capability to track campaigns, notifications, promotions, referrals and attribution models
• Build data catalogues or data dictionaries to enable data discovery and enhance trust of data presented on dashboards or visualizations
• Stay updated with the latest data transformation and visualization tools, technologies, and industry best practices, and provide recommendations for process improvements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in designing, building and operationalizing data visualizations and related data solutions (with batch ETL or streaming data)
• Proven experience in server side setup and administrator activities on data visualization tools such as Tableau (preferred), Power BI or Qlik
• Experience working with AWS cloud data platforms (S3, RDS, Glue, Redshift, …)
• Good understanding of SQL data storage structures and storage/query optimization
• Knowledge of databases, data modelling, and data architecture concepts
• Proficient in at least one core language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, etc.) and SQL
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication, collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity

Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Work across all aspects of data from engineering to building sophisticated visualisations, machine learning models and experiments
• Analyze and interpret large (PB-scale) volumes of transactional, operational and customer data using proprietary and open-source data tools, platforms and analytical tool kits
• Translate complex findings into simple visualisations and recommendations for execution by operational teams and executives
• Be part of a fast-paced industry and organisation where time to market is critical

Requirements:

• Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics/Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or Life Sciences
• 3-5 years of full-time work experience in an Analytics or Data Science role
• A self-driven team player with the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and techniques such as proprietary analytical software, data models and programming languages
• A natural curiosity to identify, investigate and explain trends and patterns in data and an ability to analyse and break down complex concepts and technical findings into clear and simple language for communication

• Coordinates data preparation (master and transaction data) for on-boarding and divestment of properties
• Be familiar with data objects/structures (master data, transaction data) in the relevant functional area
• Guide users in cleansing, preparing and enriching data in designated data templates and preparing data ready for uploads
• Guide users in validating migrated data
• Coach and explain to users on the data, the dependencies and impact on transactions and operations when relevant
• Facilitates end-user training sessions to improve staff performance capability
• Understand business requirements, design process blueprint, configure system and execute testing, deployment
• Assists in the updating of Process blueprints, Technical & Functional specs and Training Materials
• Generation of process KPIs and performance reports
• Monitor and report progress of the project
• Assist with other project implementation activities where required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES

• Diploma/Bachelor Degree in IT, ERP or Accountancy or other Business-IT disciplines
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on, working experience in implementing or supporting applications. Prior experience in SAP/Anacle/Dynamics 365 project implementation/rollout a plus
• Experience with SNP CrystalBridge a plus
• Candidate is expected to be analytical with good interpersonal skill. Other important traits include enthusiasm, systematic, troubleshooter, fast learner and hardworking.
• Good with Excel, macros, SQL queries and formulas
