Data Center (Facilities)

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the power supply and HVAC systems within the data center.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of the data center infrastructure.
• Perform remote hands services include tasks such as securing cabling, checking port numbers, observing, or reporting indicators on equipment, rudimentary observation of the environment, and server reboots.
• Respond and deal with emergency events in daily operation.
• Manage and oversee the Building Management System (BMS), promptly addressing and responding to any generated alerts.
• Ability to respond to issues and provide timely update, and escalation.
• Handle routine alarms and faults of power supply and distribution devices and HVAC systems.
• Maintain & update the relevant operation records, maintenance records, accident handling records and shift handover records.
• Maintain the environment cleanliness and temperature and humidity.
• Manage the safety appliances and instrumentation tools.
• Provide escort to visitors/ technicians to the Data Center room and witness the works that been carried out in the Data Center room.
• Have experience with supporting Data Centre related change and incident tickets.
• Adept with coordinating with multiparty stakeholders.
• Ensure all the compliance of all regulatory laws and company guidelines are met.

Requirements:

• Min of 2 years working experience in Data Center operations/ Data Center facilities maintenance.
• Diploma or Degree in Computer science, IT systems, Electrical Engineering or any related field.
• Good understanding and hands-on experience on daily Data Center operations.
• Good level of understanding of Data Centre ecosystem e.g. power, cooling, temperature, humidity, fire prevention etc.
• Good level of experience in Capacity review e.g. rack assignment for equipment onboarding.
• Good level of experience in Physical Security operations (e.g Keys and access cards management, and Physical Access).
• Good level of experience in Rack and Stack.

YOUR ROLE:

The Senior Data Engineer will work on acquiring, storing, governing and processing huge sets of structured / unstructured data. You will bring a vision of the big data solutions landscape for choosing optimal architecture components to use for these purposes as well as a set of data engineering skills for implementing enterprise data foundations such as data lake. Finally, you will work closely with other company experts in Data Intelligence, Research, UX Design, Digital Technology and Agile teams to enable intelligence in the digital mesh of our clients and deliver big impact to them.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and process structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Build and manage data warehouses and data lakes, implementing efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms. Design data models that support business requirements and analytics use cases.
• Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to design and deploy scalable data infrastructure, optimizing for performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with security standards.
• Continuously monitor and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure to improve processing speed, reduce latency, and enhance overall system performance.

WHO YOU ARE:

• You hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in IT, Information Management, and/or Computer Science with at least 6 years of experience.
• Good knowledge of the big data technology landscape and concepts related to distributed storage/computing
• Experience with big data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) and distributions (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR)
• Experience with batch & ETL jobs to ingest and process data from multiple data sources
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB, Neo4J, ElasticSearch)
• Experience with querying tools (e.g Hive, Spark SQL, Impala)
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience or willingness to go in real-time stream processing, using solutions such as Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Flume, and/or Spark Streaming
• Experience or willingness to learn about DevOps and DataOps principles (e.g Infrastructure as Code, automating different parts of the data pipeline)
• High-level understanding of Data Science concepts and methodologies (how models are built, trained, and deployed)

Qualifications:

• Graduate in computer engineering / computer applications
• 6-8 years of professional software development experience as a Big Data Engineer or similar role (with Overall IT experience of 10+years)

• Experience in Financial Risk & Compliance domain or in Anti Money Laundering is preferred

Job Title: Data Center Operator
Shift Allowance: $10 (Day Shift), $20 (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Clearance and Access Management:Process vendor and visitor security clearances for data center (DC) access.
   Escort vendors and visitors within the DC premises.
   
2. Alert and Incident Management:Monitor and respond to alert notifications, particularly after office hours.
   Raise incidents in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system and track them until closure.
   
3. Maintenance Support:Assist in monthly, quarterly, and yearly maintenance activities, including building management tasks such as power shutdowns, air conditioning, and UPS maintenance.
