Job Description:

• Participate in the development and construction of the data platform.
• Implement and maintain data collection, processing, and analysis processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure integration and coordination with other key systems.
• Conduct technical research and tackle technical challenges to ensure system availability, stability, and scalability.

Job Requirements:

• Familiar with the big data product ecosystem, including but not limited to Flink, Spark, Hive, Kafka, Doris, etc., with extensive practical experience in architecture design and performance optimization.
• Solid foundation in Java programming, understanding of I/O, multithreading, collections, and basic frameworks, with some knowledge of JVM principles.
• Proficient in using development framework technologies such as Spring Cloud and Spring Boot.
• Good logical thinking and quick problem-solving abilities, able to quickly identify problems and propose feasible solutions in complex product technical and application scenarios.
• Strong sense of responsibility, keen interest in big data-related technologies, and strong continuous learning and self-motivation abilities.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with colleagues in different regions and shareholders.

• Lead a project design team from inception to delivery of hyperscale data centres with related activities for new builds and fit out projects
• Liaise with and support the Development Manager and senior management on client and customer proposals to ensure that there is seamless transition once projects are implemented
• Collaborate with our top cloud and enterprise customers and communicate presentations on all aspects of design
• Develop high level master planning, space planning and engineering solutions for potential new developments (feasibility stage)
• Produce consultant briefs to develop designs from feasibility stage through concept, scheme and detailed design stages, ensuring continuity of design philosophy and approach
• Coordinate technical aspects of direct procured equipment and facilitate alignment with the design team
• Understand commercial implications of engineering decisions and build cost models for customers.
• Leverage local subject matter expert's tribal knowledge, spread adoption of best practices
• Coordinate closely with data centre field operations to foster alignment and partnerships for business success
• Provide regular reporting, updates and presentations to senior management and internal stakeholders including progress reporting, risk assessments, investment committees, customer proposals and business case development.
• Build and manage project scope, equipment requirements and assist with proposals and capital requests
• Stay updated on data centre industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, incorporating them into designs and builds as appropriate

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years' experience in design and project delivery;
• A Bachelor’s engineering degree is a plus
• In-depth understanding of Australia business regulations with extensive experience working with relevant Partners in the region.
• Experience working for a data centre operator and previous hyperscale and cloud experience, ideally in the Asia Pacific market
• Good overall knowledge of the current data centre market in Australia
• Excel at communication and can deliver effective presentations on data centre operations to customers, peers and management
• Strong leadership and foresight to lead multi-disciplinary teams across multiple geographies
• Willing to travel to other APAC regions on a regular basis

Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Cloud Data Centre Operations Manager with expertise in GPU architecture to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of our AI-focused cloud data centers, ensuring efficient resource management, uptime, and scalability of GPU-intensive systems. Your knowledge in GPU architecture and data center management will be key to optimizing AI workloads and supporting mission-critical applications.

Please note that the data centre is located in Kulai, Johor. The role will be based in Johor but with the possibility of working remotely from Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Center Operations Management: Lead and manage day-to-day operations of AI-focused data centers, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability of all hardware and software systems.
• GPU Resource Optimization: Develop strategies for effective utilization of GPU resources in alignment with business and operational goals. Monitor and optimize GPU workloads to maximize performance and cost-efficiency.
• Infrastructure Planning and Scaling: Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to plan, deploy, and scale data center resources to support AI workloads, considering current and future requirements.
• Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring tools and dashboards for real-time analysis of GPU and overall data center performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain high availability and minimal downtime.
• System Upgrades & Maintenance: Schedule and oversee hardware and software upgrades, including GPU infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and system optimization.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure data center operations meet industry standards for security and regulatory compliance, implementing best practices for data protection and cybersecurity.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Engage with vendors for hardware procurement and support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for project planning and execution.

Key Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in data center operations, with a focus on AI or cloud environments. Experience with managing GPU-intensive systems is essential.
• Certifications in Data Center Management or cloud platforms.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong understanding of GPU architecture and experience optimizing workloads for AI and ML applications.
• Proficiency in data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools and monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.

Desired Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, especially in troubleshooting data center and GPU performance issues.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive projects to completion.
• Familiarity with security standards and regulatory compliance requirements for data center operations.
