• Create unit tests of inputs to and outputs from the algorithms that drive the clinical service
• The unit tests include validation of the inputs and outputs of black-box machine learning algorithms
• Establish a regular process to execute the tests and document their outcomes as a part of our product development and release lifecycle

2. Implement and refine mechanisms to continuously archive the state of algorithmic inputs and outputs:

• Implement a process of taking snapshots of data/features input into algorithms necessary to recreate their outputs/predictions at any point in the past during the service
• Communicate requirements to the software development team

3. Assist in the successful elivery of regular service analytics and reports:

• Support the business and analytics teams in their daily and weekly delivery of reports on data completion, user engagement, and algorithm actions by addressing any data quality and validation requirements.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, business analytics, technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or data product management roles within the tech industry. Experience in healthcare is a plus.
• Ability to implement tests in Python.
• Experience in machine learning algorithms
• Good understanding of the validation requirements of an algorithmic product. Knowledge of healthcare regulation and auditing requirements is a plus.

The Data Engineer plays a crucial role in the creation and maintenance of our advanced data analytics vital to the hospital's data-driven decision-making processes. The role focuses on the acquisition, storage, retrieval, and optimization of data from various sources to support clinical, operational, and research initiatives. Role also supports the work of Group Chief Data Officer (GCDO) for Data Analytics.

Data Sourcing and Collection:
• Identifying and understanding source systems.

• Gathering requirements on frequency, volume, and types of data.
• Ensuring data privacy and compliance measures are in place.

Data Ingestion using Informatica IDMC and/or Spark using Python:
• Designing, implementing, and optimizing data ingestion pipelines. • Ensuring reliability and fault tolerance of ingestion pipelines.

Data Lake Management:
• Proper structuring of the data in the DataBricks Lakehouse to ensure it is usable and performant.

Data Quality and Validation:

• Member of the Global business Architecture Group.

Job Requirements

• Advanced University Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent education.
• Architecture certifications from the information systems professional body are preferred.
• Preferably 8 years of multi-disciplined IT experience including:
  5 years of Architecture responsibilities in large, sophisticated organizations with high volume/high transaction environments; Ideally Logistics, Airlines, Supply Chain, and Transportation industries.
• Experience in Agile methodology is required.
• Development experience in a team that has provided world-class results, specification, and configuration of systems, and interfaces, including data and performance analysis across large multi-national organizations.
• Experience in Automated Sort and Clearance arenas.
• Expertise in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), including Event management, Business Process Management, Business Rules Engine, and Complex Event Processing with exposure to Digitalisation and Cloud implementations.
• Knowledge of operational processes in Logistics Hubs and Gateways is a plus.
