Responsibilities for Sales Clerk
• Maintain a self-starter attitude while process sales transactions and providing excellent customer service
• Anticipate needs by greeting customers promptly and assessing their requests in a busy environment
• Support senior sales clerks by completing sales according to established policies and procedures and be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Attend product training meetings and develop an understanding of all the company's products
• Monitor and organize inventory while effectively marketing new products and merchandising products for sale
• Collaborate with sales teams in weekly meetings by bringing a friendly, can-do attitude, and practice reliable and punctual attendance
• Exceed weekly and monthly sales projections while advising customers on buying options and add-on sales
• Perform all duties as assigned by lead sales manager while exhibiting the capability to get along with others
Qualifications for Sales Clerk
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be able to travel to other retail locations within a 50-mile radius and capability to maintain a clean driving record
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows or the ability to learn new software quickly
• Demonstrated ability to stoop, bend, and kneel frequently, and the ability to be on your feet for eight hours during one work shift
• Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new sales with customers, including up-selling and add-on selling
• Be strongly skilled in organization, problem-solving, customer service, and multitasking while being committed to excellence
• Have product knowledge before your start date and willing to begin as a part-time sales clerk
• Must wear professional attire while on the sales floor and commit to the high standards the company has put forth
• Have a background that shows dependability, a love of closing deals, and that customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to you
