JOB DESCRIPTION

This role encompasses two primary responsibilities, the first involves data science activities and the second focus on full-stack development.

Data Science Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to address challenges related to Keppel energy systems, including predictive modeling, classification, and clustering
• Apply statistical analysis to derive actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making
• Perform data visualization to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data in product development and operations

Full Stack Development Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, ensuring seamless integration with data pipelines and models
• Build APIs and microservices to serve machine learning models and integrate with front-end interfaces
• Implement responsive front-end interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., React) to display data insights and support interactive user experiences
• Optimize back-end services for efficiency and scalability, ensuring secure data access and real-time performance
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack (front-end, back-end, and database layers)

Such other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor / the head of department from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques.
• Strong understanding of back-end frameworks and technologies (e.g., Node.js, Django, Flask, Express).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data science applications.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies
• Hands-on experience with databases and cloud-based data storage solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

What you will be doing:

Responsibilities: 

• Data Governance Policies and Standards: Establishing clear policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality data across the organization. 
• Data Quality Management: Monitoring and assessing data quality through processes such as profiling, validation, and cleansing. Collaborating with data owners and stewards to define and enforce data quality standards promptly. 
• Data Classification and Security: Classifying and labelling sensitive data elements and collaborating with security and compliance teams to enforce data protection policies. Implementing and monitoring access controls to ensure data security and confidentiality.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with internal stakeholders from cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business processes. Acting as a liaison between business and technical teams to promote a collaborative approach to data governance.
• Data Compliance and Auditing: Ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Conducting regular audits to assess adherence to data governance policies and recommending improvements as needed. 
• Data Visualisation: Build and implement data visualisation of reports and dashboards for management and business users. Create summaries and reports highlighting key findings with a focus on market dynamics and industry trends.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Management, Computer Science, Business Analytics).
• Proven experience in data management, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of data quality and data classification concepts.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Familiar with data visualisation tools.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Our client, a well-known company is looking for candidates for the position of Demand and Supply Specialist.

SUMMARY

• Function as Demand & Supply Specialist to manage monthly operations, mid-long term sales forecasting for Indonesia
• Work closely with counterparts such as Pricing colleagues, cross functional team and Distributor to maximize sales with appropriate production in Indonesia

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create monthly Demand & Supply plan and negotiate with Distributor
• Explain Demand & Supply thinking way to cross function team so as to secure production allocation for future months
• Good overview of market, promotion activities and competitor situation to explain to internal stakeholders
• Visualize and summarize distributors requests for fleet / ad-hoc orders to ensure production supply
• Visit distributor and dealers regularly to gather feedback from frontline and improve forecast accuracy
• Monitor sales achievement daily/monthly and discuss countermeasure with Distributor or Function team to bridge the gap.

REQUIREMENTS

• Basic knowledge of demand & supply concept or working experience preferred in Automotive/Logistics
• Individuals with 1-2 years of relevant experience are preferred
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Powerpoint) to run analysis & visualization, reporting purposes etc.
• Flair for numbers, strong analytical skills with an eye for details
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Well organized with good time management abilities to meet deadlines and schedules
• Determined and takes strong ownership in task
• Able to travel overseas as and when required by business
• Open to work overtime when required
