We currently have an opportunity for a Data Engineer - Snowflake to based in Philippines or Singapore, to join our Group Technology Team.

Reporting to the Head of IT Strategy, Architecture & Governance, the Data Engineer will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions with Snowflake. Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in IT, development, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of digital transformation and automation tools, including Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Power BI, MS SQL, Knime, Python, and cloud platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; meticulous, well-organized, and a resourceful team player.
• Highly self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Create complex, enterprise-transforming applications in high-energy, collaborative teams.
• Work with the latest tools and techniques in a hands-on coding environment, often utilizing pair programming.

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of model implementation, data structures, data manipulation, distributed processing, application development, and automation.
• Possess knowledge of consumer financial products, data systems, environments, and processes critical for the implementation of Risk and Finance models.

Requirements:

• Hands-on development experience with PySpark, Scala Spark, and distributed computing.
• 4–6 years of experience in Designing and developing applications using Python and Working on the Hadoop platform (Hive, HDFS, and Spark).
• 3–5 years of experience in Unix shell scripting and SQL.
• 2–3 years of experience in Spark programming.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud computing is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Java and Scala is beneficial.

Advantageous experience includes:

1. Working in the financial or banking industry.
2. Knowledge of Avaloq, Windows Batch Scripting, T-SQL, and Python.
